This condo was filthy: roach traps on the kitchen counter, dirty grimy cabinets, inside refrigerator shelves broken; shower corroded and coated with soap scum, shower caddy corroded and covered with soap scum and zip tied to the shower head; all vents covered deeply with dust, closet doors covered with dust, bedroom closet mirror door mirror was broken, bedroom had an outlet with live wires coming out of the wall, chips and holes in the walls and baseboards, baseboards covered in dirt, grime and dust, filthy dirty furniture, balcony furniture dirty and table rotted, cigarette butts outside the entry door, mattress box springs left exposed and filthy. Booked for 4 nights, got a hotel the last 2 nights. Took pictures and alerted Amelia Island Vacation Rentals of this, they did not respond for 5 days. Followed up on the 5th day and their response was they were investigating and said the photos and our comments were false and they took photos and would not show us. I am sure they went through and cleaned the filth and fixed the horrendous issues and lied to us. Shame on VRBO for listing properties such as this, posting pictures that do not show the actual rental. VRBO does not screen their properties its all a scam. We will not book again through VRBO, they are crooks. Beware and do not book with Amelia Island Vacation rentals. Check their google reviews and you will see the comments and the Crooks that Amelia Island Vacation Rentals are.
