Check in was easy, the woman who checked us in was great, friendly/knowledgeable.
We stay here everytime we come to Disney 1 to 2x a year.
Typically its always a great stay, friendly staff/clean rooms/nice playground/nice pool area.
But a few things this trip
1.The splash pad is never open its been 5 years, we just expect it to be closed now.
2. We've never paid a parking fee, nor was it advertised when booking the room. Surprise 50$ for parking?! Not a fan
3. We called for maintenance since our fridge didnt work the 1st night. Maintenance showed up banging on the door past 11pm. Completely unprofessional. He opened the door to the fridge turned the cool dial down from 5 to 4 and said we had put it on the wrong setting. To let it defrost then it would kick back on. The fridge was warm/nothing to defrost, its didnt work and we couldn't use it.
4. Half the hotel has been renovated rooms 1000s/2000s are new and 3000s/4000s old, it would've been nice to get a new room.
When we checked in I was told we were getting a sunrise nature pond view with the overpass/shopping center in the distance. I was asked if this was okay, unknowingly I said yes, sounds nice...if your told this runnnn. The traffic was not in the distance it was very close and loud. We've never been on the back side of this hotel before. And we'll be sure to ask for the front side room going fwd.
All that being said,
We'll still come back to this hotel, be sure to asked for update and front side room.
