Besides offering a breathtaking experience of sand and surf, this well appointed home invites you to lounge or rock in a chair on one of two spacious covered decks. You can also enjoy the sundeck on the dune and bask in full, glorious sun. Take a few steps to the sand and a few more to put your toes in the surf. That's when you understand why this beachfront home is called Himmelstrand, "Heaven's Beach."

    Enjoy your stay in one of six large, tastefully decorated ensuite bedrooms. This multi-generation family-friendly beachfront home comes with numerous quality touches and amenities: an elevator services all three floors, newly renovated kitchen fully equipped for foodies and cooks alike with new quartz countertops, hardwoods and tile throughout, separate water heaters for each floor, a gathering play area with kitchenette, spacious outside shower, and beach access directly from the house. Himmelstrand has been lovingly maintained and appointed. Located 3/4 of a mile south of the Surf City pier on a quiet low traffic street, Himmelstrand is an easy stroll or bike ride from the shops and restaurants of Surf City.

The house sits back a little so you cannot see all the way down the beach to the pier BUT there is an unobstructed beachview. The kitchen had what we needed. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and there was a lot of dining room space as well as outside deck space!We enjoyed our visit!

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at the beach. It was a very warm week but the Topsail breeze helped to keep us cool. Everything about this house is perfect for our family.

House is amazing! Clean, close to everything, and well appointed. This was our second year staying here and it never disappoints! Our party ranged in age from infant to 95 years old and everyone had what they needed.

Amazing house!

This is a beautiful and well kept property that is perfect for a group of adults. Everyone has their own bathroom and there’s one room that’s great for a family with kids. The house is well laid out and comfortable and the covered porch is amazing or sitting out and looking at the ocean when it gets too hot to sit on the beach. Really enjoyed our stay!

The Perfect Interruption

This property was the perfect setting for a multi-generation vacation. The hosts were timely with responses and even provided a fun shell connection activity with previous and future renters. It’s hard to find a spot where a multiple families with a wide span of ages can have and and relax. The faculties were clean and well care for. With the quick access to the beach and the main strip, it was our perfect spot.

Lovely beach house in a great location with everything we needed for a family gathering. The two covered decks with the comfortable rocking chairs were a hit as were all the en-suite bathrooms! The elevator was very helpful in getting groceries and luggage up to the top floor, especially for the 70 year olds in the group. Would definitely return here.

Beautiful home.

Our family loved this beautiful home with easy access to the quiet beach. The home was very clean and the property manager went above and beyond in making our visit a wonderful week. Thanks to the owner for making this lovely home available for families to enjoy being together. This was our first experience with VRBO and we will certainly plan our next vacation with VRBO.

Great Stay!

We are always in the lookout for the perfect beach house, and we might have just found it this year. We really enjoyed all aspects of our stay. The house was beautiful and well stocked, it was in a great location, and the property was well maintained. Our plans for next summer are still a little up in the air, but if we’re able to come back we would love to stay in this house again.

heavenly beach!

This was our best vacation ever, the atmosphere was wonderful for families-very friendly. The beach and water were very clean, with shells for us to fill our pockets with and the grandchildren were so thrilled for their first experience with the ocean. Beautiful decor in the home with plenty of space for everyone. We wish we were still there!

Fun memories for our entire family

Our stay in this lovely home was wonderful! There was plenty of room for our large family group. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for large group cooking. The home is situated in a quiet area on the beach and the view is beautiful. It is an easy drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Our hosts were gracious and quick to respond to any questions. By far the nicest home and beach location our family has stayed.

Perfect house for a large gathering!

This was the third time our family has gotten together on a vacation at the beach, and this house was by far everyone's favorite! Kitchen had everything we needed, having the bedrooms with their own bathrooms added so much comfort and convenience for everyone. Lots of places to go off and be by yourself, and lots of places to gather as a family. We are so glad we found your beautiful home! We all raved about your house all week!

We loved this house. It has the kitchen, living area and 2 bedrooms on the third floor. One with a queen bed and one with a king bed and handicap accessible. Both have private bathrooms and with another half bath on that floor. The second floor has 4 bedrooms all with private baths and a small living area and kitchenette area. This worked great for our families with kids. All the cousins flopped in one room which makes for great memories. Everything was stocked better that most homes we've rented except we could have used a couple extra blankets. There were plenty of sand toys, extra boogie boards and chairs. The house was well maintained except for missing bulbs over the outside stairs which made it difficult at night and difficult doors to the decks, likely due to salty air. We could walk and get ice cream at the Surf City Pier after dinner. Remember to bring $1 per person over ten years old and your shoes. Great family beach with plenty to do. Sunrise was incredible and the moon was full the week we were there which also was amazing rising over the ocean. The ocean waters were great and gave up many sharks teeth. Just be careful of the rip tides. We had two separate rescues right in front of our house yesterday that could have ended badly but luckily a kid with a surf board came to the rescue and literally saved a child with an adult, then a child that was alone without a life vest that had drifted off. BE CAREFUL. Great place and good communication with the owners.
