Manger was very accommodating and let us check in a few hours early. He answered all our questions a few days before arrival. There were plenty of extra propane tanks for the gas grill or propane stand for boil. We were able to fit a 17' skiff on the front side of the dock, 2 jet skis on the side and a small jon boat on the backside of the dock. The pierhead is covered and great for watching the boats go by. At lowtide there is usually 2-3 feet depending on the moon cycle. High tide was usually 7-9 feet. The screened in porch with large yeti cooler was great. Be sure to keep the screen doors locked to keep the critters out. In addition to the 3 bedrooms are 2 large lofts, both with beds and a couch and enough room for an air mattress. This is a great location as it is 200 yards from the marina with easy access to shuttle visitors back and forth. It is also only a 10 min boat ride to Capers beach and about 3 minutes of idle speed before you are out of the no wake zone headed north on the ICW. This is our 3rd visit to the property and we are never disappointed. Great house and a even better location! Recommended.

Our 2nd year in a row, family stay-cation, at Goat Island House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this house/location. It allows our family to be together, in one place, with peace and beauty all around us. The dock and it's design remind us of our old home where I raised my children, on the south side of town, Stono River. For the 2nd year, we have celebrated my son's birthday there. We alert our friends of where we will be, and so many stop by throughout the week and say Hi! These familiar fishing waters allow my son and his friends to jump on the boat anytime to go fishing. It is dreamy in that regard! We hope to come back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spent 4 nights at the Goat Island house and couldn't have been happier with the place. Great layout for a couple of families with kids. Spent every evening on the covered dock and nights enjoying the spacious screened in porch. Floating dock was perfect for our 21' boat and we made regular day trips up and down the ICW, and to the marina store across the way. Cooper made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond with questions about check in/check out, etc. Will definitely be back!

Amazing, relaxing stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Admittedly, at first I wasn't sure this experience would be a good one. The rental company provided little insight as to what accommodations the home provided. Does it have linens? "Yes, I think so." Does the grill come with a full propane tank? "Yes, I think so." Will the key be at the location or do we pick it up? "Oh, it should be at the house somewhere." If I were paying a company to host my listing I'd expect them to know these answers, BUT that is where the negatives end for this stay. The cleaner/property manager Marshall was fantastic and accommodating and ensured we were taken care of by checking in throughout the week. The convenience of the location being right across from the marina was paramount due to all of the essentials we had to lug via boat. The views are spectacular and the home is well accommodated and comfortable. We even rode out a tropical storm! The dock is obviously where we spent most of our time day and night. Being from Charleston I knew Goat Island would be a great "staycation" spot to be close to home yet feel hundreds of miles away. We will definitely be spending vacations here from now on!
