Waterfront lake home w/ fishing, boating, & water activities!

  • Come and stay in this waterfront, spacious house with open floor plan, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, screened in porch, sun room and open deck located on the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes. Includes private dock and boat house with electric hook up. The lake at present date 4/25/26 is at a record low due to the state wide Florida drought. Boating from our dock is not accessible at this time. (No change as of 8/24/26, I will update as soon as conditions improve.) We do have 2 kayaks for your use at your own risk right in your backyard. We do not allow children under 13 yrs of age to stay, due to some unforseen damages that have occurred. Our house is located 12 miles from Interstate 75 and the Florida turnpike in rural Inverness only 3.5 miles from historic downtown with grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and parks. (Liberty Park, Howard Wallace Park, Cooter Park, Whispering Pines Park, and Fort Cooper state park.) The Withlacoochee State Trail is a 46 mile paved rail-trail for walking and biking with access just 2.5 miles from the house.
    This property is conveniently located approximately an hour and 15 minutes from Disney, Busch Gardens Tampa, Sea World, Aquatica, Universal, and both Tampa and Orlando International Airports.
    If you are looking to just relax, stay at the house and enjoy fishing from the dock, kayaking, drinking coffee on the screen room porch watching the wildlife in the backyard, or grilling on the BBQ grill for dinner. There is also plenty of fishing if you bring your own boat, kayak or jet ski for the lake, nearby rivers and the Gulf of Mexico a short 20-25 miles away. There are also many public golf courses within a 30 minute drive to choose from.
    There are a variety of chain and Mom & Pop restaurants, parks, museums and shops within 5 miles or just a short drive away you could visit some of our State Parks; Weeki Wachee, Homosassa Springs, Rainbow River, Hunter Springs, Three Sister Springs to name a few that are sure to please and show off our crystal clear springs and our Nature Coast, home of the Manatees and abundant wildlife to all who visit.
    Come and enjoy relaxing or the many water activities such as kayaking, snorkeling clear waters, tubing, boating, fishing, scalloping or a day at Fort Island Beach.

Amazing house to spend your time in Florida. This house has everything you need for a home away from home. The waterway out back doesn’t disappoint from the occasional alligator to the great blue herons and fireflies at night. Our second time staying at the property and wouldn’t hesitate coming back.

Booked this house for a week to kick back and fish. Everything about this place was perfect!Super clean, great location and by far the best host we have ever had! We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect! We loved the house and property, all the amenities that were provided, and I would say that it was the best vrbo experience we have had over the years. We look forward to booking it again some time.

The best host and the cleanest property you'll ever stay at. After staying at probably more than 30 vrbos, this one ranks at the top for cleanliness and communication with the very pleasant host.

Amazing father daughter weekend on the lake. The home was SOOOO clean and comfy and the hosts are simply the best. Caught 34 fish between us and made memories to last a lifetime

There wasn't one single thing that I did not like about this place It was absolutely wonderful everything the boat riding the comfortable couches the comfortable beds the linens the kitchen the bathrooms I mean everything was absolutely beautiful we enjoyed ourselves very much. Stayed for 5 days and we plan on going back in December.

Super place!

The house was extra clean and better than I hoped for. I loved the porch and water view. The best part was being able to rent their boat that was already in the water waiting for me to fish. Super great hosts who were very accommodating. We will stay here anytime we visit this area in the future.

Beautiful house

The location and the house was what we were looking for! Very quiet area near the waters! House was immaculately clean and well equipped with all the household tools we needed. We would definitely recommend this house to others looking for a place to stay!

Perfect Winter Getaway

Comfortable and well maintained space in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was fully equipped for all cooking needs. Mona and David were perfect hosts, eager to make our stay perfect. A definite “do again”!

This is one of our most enjoyable vacation spots we have ever visited. Relaxing enjoy our time together for our 31st anniversary celebration. I can honestly say we will be back . The owners are amazing people and you won’t find anyone who would treat you as they treated us. Ck it out you won’t regret it
