Escape to this beautifully decorated 1958 cottage, professionally styled by Velvet Cabbage in a soothing, relaxed cottage design.

The master bedroom features a queen-size bed with dual, independently adjustable air-control sides (by Anderson Beds), allowing each sleeper to customize their perfect comfort level.

Step out onto the back deck overlooking peaceful Church Lake, which connects to the expansive Tsala Apopka Lake system—an angler’s paradise. A small dock is available and can accommodate a bass boat or other small craft. A kayak and canoe are provided for your enjoyment.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the famous 46-mile Rails to Trails bike path is just 100 feet from the driveway, ideal for walking or biking. Complimentary bikes are provided for your convenience.

Set on a private one-acre property, this charming cottage offers quiet, seclusion, and the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway.
This is part of the old Florida, which has natural springs and moss covered trees. Numerous natural spring parks are located less than 1 hour drive. Enjoy manatees, fishing and wildlife. It is absolutely beautiful. 29 minutes to Rainbow Springs and 20 minutes to Crystal River, Three Sisters Springs, horseback riding in Ocala

This is a natures getaway where you can bird watch and enjoy all the other wild life that abounds in this area. Homosassa and Crystal River are close by for more wild life viewing. There is nothing better than sitting on the deck and listening to natures orchestra that plays every night from the lake.

This area is offering new and upcoming businesses of wineries and breweries that showcase local talent. Copp Winery and Brewery, Whispering Oaks Winery, Lakeridge Winery, plus many more!

The house is located one hour from Disney World and one and a half hours from Tampa. It is close enough to the Florida attractions but away from the traffic and crowds. There are numerous golf courses located nearby and including some championship courses.
RATES are based on 2 people. Additional people including children are $15 per person per night. Pet fee is for up to 2 dogs. A
collapsible XL dog crate is available for use, which is stored in the guest bedroom closet.

Marianne & Tim are fantastic hosts. The location is ideal with the bike trail so close, and the wonderful deck and lake in the back. We always make use of the well equipped kitchen, and enjoy sitting around the fire pit at night. We have stayed here many times, and will return in the near future. A great place we like to think of as our home away from home.

Super cozy, very relaxing, off the beaten path. This was exactly what I wanted. I wanted to be away from the city, somewhere I could get away from it all. The area was very pretty and the trail being so close for me to walk my dog was awesome. Tim and Marianne were very nice and Tim gave me ideas of places to eat and things to do while I was in the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful cottage for nature lovers

We loved the Yellow Cottage! It had everything we needed and wanted: a complete kitchen and was decorated as a delightful cottage, it is right on an inlet that connected to a large network of lakes and rivers, kayaks and canoe, porch…plus bikes and it’s right off the Withlacoochee State Trail for biking and walking! We were there in the spring and THOROUGHLY enjoyed seeing the Sandhill Crane family and Limpkin family on the little “island” in the inlet, and while out paddling we saw deer, a Barred Owl, Osprey, etc. It was perfect, and the owners were very communicative the couple of times we had questions prior to arriving. There is also a very complete handbook. We definitely recommend!

Cute Cottage but Uncomfortable

The cottage is in need of some maintenance. Mostly cosmetic, (coat of paint, power wash outside mold, replace weather stripping on the exterior door) but all of this if not addressed, detracts. We experienced strong musty odors inside of the cottage when we arrived. This was diminished with turning on the heat or air if required. The living room furniture is incredibly uncomfortable. The bikes furnished had inoperable gears. We had a great time in Florida, regardless! *We would not return to this rental, however*iinincrediblyununconfortableuncomfortable.

Perfect Lakeside retreat

Perfect Lakeside RetreatWe had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage on the lake. The property was exactly as described—peaceful, well-equipped, and surrounded by beautiful views. Having all amenities included made the experience seamless and comfortable.The setting was perfect for relaxation, with quiet surroundings and stunning scenery right outside the door. Fun Florida bungalow on the lake

This two bedroom, two bath bungalow was just as advertised. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, silverware, plates, glasses and appliances. The place had a good size table that we were able to entertain friends and family at dinner. The lake was peaceful and the property was well-taken care of. We will try to stay again if our schedules align.

Awesome Getaway

Property was very nice, on a lake, quiet, relaxing, only a short distance to restaurants, parks, running/walking/riding trail, shopping, and churches. Peaceful and Lovely

Literally perfection for a girls quiet vacation. I would love to come back and stay again! The kitchen was very well equipped, I read through the instructions and had no issues with check in. Loved being able to bring our Jon boat down from the public boat ramp to explore the lake system. Didn’t see a single Gator which was nice! Outside was great if the weather was a bit cooler so I would like to go back in the fall. There is a winery and where you can also get a steak dinner on the weekend about 25 mins away. The decor was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. I liked having the washer and dryer and dishwasher accessible. I will say to be aware that it’s not a smooth paved path from the car to the front door so you will need to more so carry your belongings but it was fine. It’s rustic and quaint perfect for being one with nature while still having the charm of a cottage.

Roomy. Clean. Well stocked kitchen. Large yard. Great location with easy access to major roadways. The claw foot tub in the main bath adds to the vintage cottage feel, however, it may not be for everyone as it is quite the step up to get in and out of. (There is a walk in shower in the master bath)

Nice Getaway

Floral City is a wonderful small historical town south of Inverness, FL. This rental sat on one of the lakes that are all connected. You can canoe from lake to lake and it is a wonderful view. There is a fire pit, back deck, gas grill, canoe and kayaks, and bikes available for use. The trail system is just outside the property, and you can ride, walk, or jog north or south for miles. We rode both directions, and even rode off the trail down the Avenue of the Oaks which is Orange Avenue lined and covered with 150 year old oak trees. Overall, this was a very enjoyable place to stay. There were a few things that need a little attention including a burned-out porch light bulb, slow drain in the master bathroom, gas grill starter (had to get a lighter to start it), and warn out Roku remote (had to press really heard to get it to register). But these are minor inconveniences in an overall enjoyable property. We feel that we picked one of the best rental options in the area, and would recommend it to others.
