"A relaxing stay in the picture perfect area! Not as dog friendly as hoped and not enough seating for 5 but a beautiful setting, well located for exploring the area."

"The house is nicely decorated and was very clean. We only had to get rid of a large number of spiders, but that was due to our arachnophobia. It is a place where one can really calm down and relax and it´s great that dogs are allowed. We enjoyed walking along the coast and down to the "beach" where we saw some quite "dramatic" sunsets. The only downside was, that the 2 lower bedrooms were damp so that we needed to keep dehumidifiers running. But still one of the bedrooms had a quite unpleasant...

"Lovely cottage in a charming village. Had everything we needed for our stay, and the breakfast was a nice extra. Parking is on street, but there were always spaces available. Well placed to reach desired destinations, and with plenty of walks from the doorstep."

"A beautifully presented property in a quiet rural setting, perfect for a few days peace away from it all. The Barn is extremely well equipped, warm and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after long walks in the Devon countryside. We would love to return some time, and highly recommend staying here."

"Warm.welcome on check in with a box of chocs too. Great peaceful location. Access lanes a challenge but wprth the effort. Village had 2 great pub restaurants we ate at very warm and friendly. Great base to go explore devon. Will be back."

"The cottage is very well situated in the old part of Appledore in a quiet street with excellent views of the estuary from the cosy upstairs sitting room. A very pleasant place for a winter holiday."

"Delightful accommodation with plenty of space to for our three generations and what a location. Had not known about Appledore before we went but its just perfect, would definitely reccomend, from the rockpooling and crabbing opportunities with the kids to wandering down to the Coffee Cabin first thing and simply enjoying the holiday atmosphere and estuary views. We finshed with a meal at the Beaver Inn (book early as its busy)- really nice pub. Oh, and not forgetting the Devonshire ice cream...
