A couch would have been nice and our room was up a large set of stairs and had no personal out door space and the patio doors don’t open so it felt very restricted. The pool was great but there was not enough shade. The road the hotel is on is so rough to walk into town on that made it challenging at times. Location was good though and close the markets. 10 min walk to the beach. Sadly they do not provide beach towels. All in all we enjoyed our stay...

"My wife booked this based solely on reviews and we were so glad we came across it. The hotel is a smaller boutique style hotel. Front desk was soo friendly. Smaller pool in the middle of the hotel which was nice after being on the beach. Direct beach access, they have someone watching your belongings the entire day so if you’re in the water or go for a walk you don’t have to worry about anyone going thru your stuff. "We can’t say enough about how wonderful our time at The Beach Bungalows was. As a young couple traveling to Costa Rica from the US who wanted access to the beach and night life, this was the perfect spot for us. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the poolside day bed space under the Bungalows was one of our favorites! "This was my second time staying here. The ocean front rooms are way nicer and more modern than the other rooms. The owner is the same as the Diria next door, where you’ll be having your breakfast. Listen, for the price, just stay at the Diria, you’ll be spending maybe 80 bucks more and it’s got all the amenities you’ll need like pools, bars, restaurants, etc. The Perla is nice and low key, but too expensive for just offering oceanfront and free breakfast.
