"When i booked i didn't realise how close it was to the A1, so was a bit worried about traffic noise when i found out, as it turned out i didn't need to, the rooms were located to the back of the property and you couldn't hear anything. "We had a nice 2 day stay at the hotel. It is a grand old building with lots of character. The room was a nice size with a large bed and bathroom. Breakfast was fine although there was a slight wait for the full Scottish breakfast on the first day as the restaurant was busy although it was freshly cooked when it arrived. "This was our second visit to Charlton Hall and this time stayed in The Tempus. It didn’t disappoint. Everything is well thought out, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated. We ate in the Orangery a couple of times, both of which were delicious. The staff are attentive and courteous. What’s not to love! We will return! "
