"The Kearney cottage was exactly as depicted. A beautiful small town location with a great walking trail close by. Great location for our day trips to experience the Muskoka Fall colours. Erica, the host was very attentive and provided a quick response to my registration request and to any other questions. We would have rated it a 5 overall but there was a small issue with the cleanliness of the floors which the host will follow up on with her cleaning service. We would definitely recommend this...

"My first impression was WOW!!!! Everything was just as is in the pictures. This was a very family friendly accommodation. There were games, toys, and the kid's bathroom had the whale over the spout. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, dishes, utensils, silverware and more. There was a whole spice drawer. Amazing. Loved that the Keurig was a coffee pot and could use pods too. There was grill, which we used. Plenty of firewood to use the outdoor firepit, which we did, twice and...

17. Muskoka Private & Peaceful Waterfront Cottage. Lake-View Panoramic Sauna

"Bathroom floors and vanity not clean, sheets on one bed seemed damp, back porch was not clean, many days not clean, sliding doors had cobwebs at all corners, no screen door here, steps from parking to door in very poor, dangerous condition, kayaks were not cleaned off and made ready for use. This cottage had not been made ready for guests. Concerned that vrbo is advertising for unkept property. We wasted time, money, dreams of a wonderful weekend ruined!!"

"Review for you as of now – Misleading Listing, Poor Maintenance and Unacceptable Stay. Our experience at this property was extremely disappointing and very different from what was represented in the advertisement. The Expedia listing presents the property as a “Luxury Muskoka Beach Retreat” and creates the impression of a cottage/beach or waterfront getaway. In reality, it is a regular residential house in a residential neighbourhood. There is no beach or waterfront at the property or...
