"I booked suite room 251 and unfortunately the air conditioning in the bedroom wasn’t working. This meant I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. There was a fan but no air conditioning. I mentioned this to reception in the morning and they assured me they were aware and that’s why there was a fan. However when I checked in reception hadn’t mentioned this issue. If they had I would have asked for a smaller room with working air conditioning. This wasn’t great service."

"We had a standard room with a double bed with a massive en suite with walk in shower. We were on third floor no lifts as far as i could see, the stairs felt a bit dodgy in places and it felt as if they were sloping but it is a listed building. We did not use the spa services but did have a look and they appeared to be good. Not many big shops within the immediate vicinity so it would have been nice to have a little bit more information within the room"

Y las dos “recepcionistas” que nos atendieron tanto a la llegada como a la salida muy amables y agradables."

"After meeting our friends and spending an evening in Cambridge we returned to the crown and punchbowl for a night cap before bed and and found the bar was shut up and all staff had gone home. It was 10.45pm. So our evening ended quite abruptly. Our room which was on the first floor, was a little on the small side, with only a skyline window, and unfortunately the blind didn't keep the light out, so it was very bright at 5am. "Superb hotel full of character. Our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant and were very impressed with the choice offered particularly for my husband who is coeliac and has to have gluten free. Every member of staff we engaged with were so polite and friendly. Our stay was an absolute delight."
