"Very handy independent hotel great for a stop off on the way to Cornwall, just off the M5 but quiet and comfortable. Lots of free parking with EV charging. Friendly staff, good value and really great food and breakfast in the restaurant, highly recommended! The executive room we had was huge!"

"Great spot to stay in, convenient for the city. We loved the breakfast, a true highlight. My kids were very comfortable in the second bed and the shower was a great size. Unfortunately it was during a heatwave and with south facing windows I don’t think the temperature in the room dropped below 30c! The chap at breakfast said there is a plan to put in AC. The huge fan provided took the edge off."

"The room and bathroom weren't huge but big enough for a short stay. Good to have aircon as it was 30 degrees out. The view from our room was lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The terrace was a great place to sit and have a drink and watch the sunset. Breakfast wasnt buffet style but there was a good choice on the menu. Would definitely stay again."

"Lovely stay breakfast was delicious and staff very attentive. Room was modern but had a few cosmetic issues such as tape on laminate flooring and a shower screen that didn't stop the water from pouring out. It didn’t affect our stay but from a glance minor repairs could be made. Would still happily book again as location and breakfast alone was well worth it "

"My wife and I stayed just one night at the Kings Arms and had an excellent meal and breakfast. Our room was clean and tidy and the en-suite was fine, albeit a little cramped. We had ground floor room 5 and, as is our normal custom, went to bed just before 10:00pm. We then suffered a great deal of noise outside our bedroom windows; singing, shouting and swearing, all coming from the sheltered area just a few metres away. In the end we rang the bar in an attempt to get this stopped, but it carried...

"Clean room, friendly staff"

"Clean rooms in an updated older hotel. My only complaint was the lack of air conditioning, as it was unusually hot when we visited. There was a small fan provided, but it did little to cool the room. We felt unsafe leaving the window open because we were on the ground level and it would have been easy for anyone to climb right into our room. The water pressure in the shower was fabulous. Staff was very friendly."
