The view of the endless, shimmering Atlantic Ocean is amazing. Nothing soothes the body and soul quite like rise and fall of ocean waves. And even though it’s vacation and you’re supposed to sleep late every day, be sure, just once, to get up early and watch the sun rise over the ocean. We promise, it’s a sight worth seeing. After you’ve finished your coffee, perhaps you’ll enjoy a stroll along the shoreline. You never know what treasures the sea may offer you - like a perfect seashell or a piece of polished sea glass.

Great beach getaway

If you’re looking for a nice and clean beachfront property in a nice little town this is a great option. The property was just as advertised. The decks offered great views and put you right on the beach. My wife and our dog had a great time!

Fall on the Beach

Annual family gathering. Condo was the right size and clean. Lance (owner) was very responsive to an entry issue and another minor issue. Location was about a mile North of main commerce area…not bad. Parking was tricky…hard to navigate under the edifice with a large SUV. We prefer an individual beach home…some ocean views were guarded by building next door, but overall a good place to stay.

Great Vacation

The house was exactly as advertised and right on the beach, which is what we wanted. Lance was an excellent host and answered our questions very quickly. Everything else that you could want was not very far away from groceries to restaurants to souvenir stores. Would definitely go back to Sea Escape for another week of vacation.

Great getaway

We had a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler. This house has plenty of room, nice decor and very clean. We all enjoyed being able to walk straight out to the beach, as well as being within a mile or two of almost everything we wanted to go do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here, to anyone looking for a great vacation. The only downfall is if you have trouble with a lot of steps, you may find it hard to get around throughout the house.

Not What We Had Hoped For

This condo has some wonderful advantages, chief among them its convenient location in Surf City and its close proximity to the ocean—just steps away. The interior of the condo was clean and included a well-equipped kitchen. However, we can’t say this property was comparable to other 5-star rated rentals that we have enjoyed in the past. It adequately accommodated the five of us who stayed there, but it would have been much too cramped to handle 12 guests. As it was, we found it very crowded to have the five of us seated at the kitchen table at the same time. The living room furniture was tired and uncomfortable. Outdoor seating was available with plenty of seating. That feature was something we expected to enjoy. Unfortunately, the pigeons decided to take up residence on the top deck. Their droppings had completely covered a table in the corner; we carefully cleaned it off, but that was only a temporary solution as it was soon covered again. The protected steps leading into the condo were also quite dirty from the pigeon droppings.

Don’t hesitate - it’s perfect - so close to the beach!

This was by far one of the nicest rentals I’ve stayed in. Pictures and description are spot on! (There are actually 2 couches so our group of 9 had plenty of room to sit and 4th bedroom actually had a double and twin so all 3 kids fit in there). This house is literally steps to the beach and so easy to get to everything (if you even want to leave). Other reviews mentioned the parking and it is awkward…but we just backed the van and truck in and had no problem at all Lance is a great host and replied to my questions/concerns quickly. If your hesitant to book this rental-don’t be. Just do it-you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again Lance for renting your home!

Great beach front home

Images are accurate, owner is very quick to respond and home is equipped with all the basic needs. We had a great time, saw a ton of dolphins swimming by and it was a very relaxing spot. Thank you Lance!

Awesome beachfront house!

This place is exactly what you want if you're after for an amazing oceanfront view and walk out directly from the house to the beach. Location is great. Very close to restaurants and things to do in Surf City and Top Sail. The house is very nice with the ability to accommodate several people. The owner is also very courteous and communicative. Highly recommend!

Great home-awesome beachfront

Thoroughly enjoyed this home as our first time in Surf City/Topsail. The beach, location, and updates to the house made this a great experience. Thank you to Lance for being so responsive and helpful. Deck space with furniture is excellent. Addition of another couch in LR will be great for future renters. We had to park 2 full-sized pickups in the tricky corner spot- but it’s fine/doable. Kitchen has few cabinets for dishes & cooking items- but we found what we needed to cook throughout the week. Pantry is good for all the dried foods/snacks. Loved the huge sink! *Great location close to all the spots for food and fun in Surf City!!!
