"Breakfast was fantastic. The gym area was pretty standard for hotels. Rating 4 stars because the key cards demagnetized every day. It's an inconvenience if you're in a rush or have kids or carrying bags. We were warned about the key cards at check in, so we were aware this could happen. The rooms are not turned down daily. "My stay was okay for a quick overnight stay. It seems the property needs some TLC. I pulled up to the property not landscaped or mowed, people tailgating and sunbathing in the parking lot. My door was dented which didn't look so good. The room had a certain smell that was covered up with a citrus spray prior to my getting into the room. "I was pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the building and decor of the 18th century era. The owner puts great effort into making it an enjoyable experience. As a history fan this place surpassed my expectations. The breakfast was wonderful too!"

"this is a beautiful hotel in a nice location. they advertise that they have a pool but the pool has been under construction for 2 years now and we specifically booked it because we wanted a hotel with a pool. also the Wi-Fi was very intermittent. for this reason I only gave it three stars I don't think that a hotel should be allowed to say that they have a pool if they don't and allowed to say they have Wi-Fi and it doesn't work."

"We stayed here outside of Boston because it was cheaper. The hotel needs major updating. The wallpaper was peeling among other things. We usually stay at Hampton, and this was the worst one as far as upkeep goes on the interior. The staff was friendly though."
