"I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that.
My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant.
I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?"

"Room was spotless and one of our favourites, staff are so friendly and helpful. We love celebrating our wedding anniversary at the castle. We have been going for 8yrs now. "

"Staff were really lovely and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet, and the hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of Hexham. The only issues were the very few parking spaces available, and the fact we could only park for up to 2hrs with a permit during the day, if there wasn’t any space in the tiny car park. But we loved the hotel itself and would recommend. "

"Great hotel and very friendly staff. Delicious salmon for dinner and breakfast was great.
The room was very comfortable and big.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, which in my case was good, because that is what we were looking for."
