"We received a very warm welcome with refreshments in the garden with our hosts. This house has history which becomes apparent when inspecting the quaint interior. Our room was small but comfortable with features matching the age of the property. Breakfast taken in the vine room were excellent with various choices. The pleasant guest lounge was comfortably furnished. Our hosts, Hillary and Graham, were warm and friendly. We would certainly use this B&B if staying in the area again."

"The holiday cottage was lovely and cosy the bed was nice and comfortable, it was nice of the owners to be left some eggs, milk, bread and butter for our breakfast. A couple of things I would recommend is instructions how to work the TV, microwave/ oven etc. The cottage was a bit far out for us as we were only visiting Chatsworth House and didn’t realise when we booked it that it was in the middle of nowhere, when we booked we typed in Bakewell, where actually it’s nowhere in Bakewell. Our fault...

It felt like such a genuine, honest, real place - somewhere we could relax and breathe easily, in contrast to the massive chain hotel we had just been staying in in Liverpool, where sheer numbers of guests led inevitably to a dehumanized, mass-produced feel. "Buena ubicación y estancia como en las fotos. Pero la cama muy incómoda, muy poca limpieza (encontramos la parte de abajo de la cama llena de basura y la papelera del baño con restos de los huéspedes anteriores), no proporcionan jabón de ducha, el estropajo para lavar los platos era directamente para tirar y no había otros productos de limpieza. El apartamento lo reservamos para tres personas y solo había dos sillas, incomprensible. Lamentablemente no lo volvería a reservar "
