"Overall cleanliness was OK. The bathroom looked newly refurbished, however the shower caddy was rusty and the soap dispensers were empty. No parking but there is a car park behind the hotel, also from the road isn’t easy to spot as it looks like a restaurant from the front. Breakfast was OK, one choice of coffee only included in the price. Overall the hotel is clean and comfortable. "

"A classic country pub with new upmarket bedrooms that impressed. The breakfast in the bar was good although my brown toast was dry and burnt. For the money it is good value and the bedrooms are the best aspect. "

"Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. "The room was very clean, very comfortable, with quality fittings. Comfortable bed, quality bedlinen, soft towels, helpful host - highly recommended."

"Staff were amazing and food was brilliant, real old school pub food and great value. Room was spacious and comfortable. Only slight niggle is that shower was an electric one and whilst hot enough it was not very powerful. Anyway, I'm returning so that hasn't put me off"

"Room in the town house was clean an tidy, bed very comfortable. Shower and bath a very good size! The only thing bad was the noice from the main high street, as we stayed there on a Saturday night and were woken up a few times. Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was lovely with a large selection. would definitely recommend a stay."
