The space:

Set amongst 7 acres of stunning ancient natural woodland, Wyldewood Retreat is the perfect place for you, your friends and your family to leave the troubles of everyday life at home and reconnect with wildlife and nature at its best.

The Site consists of a luxury Modern Shepherds Hut, Emperor Bell tent, 5 Metre Luxury Bell Tent, Bathroom Shepherds Hut and Deluxe Wood-fired Hot Tub. ( with hydro massage bubbles, jets, and LED lighting!)

The Modern Shepherds Hut is clad in standing seam zinc and fronted with shadow gap vertical larch cladding. The interior roof is gold leaf and has aluminium double-glazed windows.

Internally, there is a fully stocked galley kitchen with an induction hob, fridge and microwave. The banquette seating converts into a king-sized bed with a memory foam mattress. In the seat boxes, you will find a multitude of games to keep the whole family entertained, from snakes and ladders, jigsaw puzzles, guess who and Twister. There is a bookshelf with a selection of outdoor-inspired books, including a camping cookbook, a hanging rail for those special items, and hooks to hang wet items after that long walk in the countryside. To keep you warm at night, there is a wood burner as well as a wall-hung oil-filled radiator.

The Emperor Bell Tent and 5 Meter Bell Tent consist of a king-sized bed with a luxury hybrid mattress and 2x memory foam single mattresses. There is atmospheric lighting and sari bunting and Coir floor matting.

All beds are set up with Egyptian cotton white linen, electric blankets and plenty of blankets to keep you warm at night.

Each guest is provided with a soft white Large Bath Towel.

The bathroom is in a separate Shepherds hut, which has a walk-in wet-room shower, Belfast sink, Natural Elm countertop, and most importantly, hot running water on demand! The bathroom hut is also decorated with a gold ceiling, wooden floorboards, and pampas grass to create a tranquil setting you won't want to leave.

There is an outdoor covered washing-up area with a large butler sink, hot and cold running water on demand, and atmospheric lighting.

On the central lawn, there are deck chairs for soaking up the rays as well as a 12 Seater Picnic Bench and parasol umbrella. The dining area is on a large showman's trailer which has been converted to a raised deck. There is a German beer garden bench as well as an outdoor fridge, small bench and work surface. For Al Fresco dining, we have the AMAZING Egg style BBQ. You really can cook anything on this from Lamb Chops to smoked meats, grilled veg, and even pizza!

For all-round entertainment, we have lots of outdoor garden games. These include Croquet, Limbo, Giant Jenga, Boules and Ping Pong.

The piece de resistance of the site is the Deluxe Wood-fired Hot Tub with hydro massage bubbles, jets, and LED lighting. Once in, you really will never want to get out!

In the woods, we have a designated fire pit area with seating around the outside, a slack line, and a cargo net hammock between the trees, with large outdoor beanbags.

The site is bordered by a string of festive LED Festoon lighting. These really create a fun festival feel and create a great ambience at night.

There is also wifi access with unlimited data - think movie night underneath the stars!

Guest access:

Guests have sole access. No other guests will be on site.
Other things to note
We provide all amenities you should need for your stay with us. This includes all Firewood, Kindling and Fire Lighters for the Hot Tub, Log burner in the Shepherds Hut and Fire Pit.

We provide 1 bag of charcoal for the BBQ, plus firelighters and lighting fluid.

All bed linen and 1x Luxury white bath towel is provided per guest.
(You may want to bring an extra towel for the hot tub as they can get quite wet)

We provide Tea, Coffee and Milk.

(If requested) we will happily light the hot tub for you, so you can jump straight in on arrival.

We are based in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a SSSI and in the foothills of the South-downs national park.

Theres is excellent walking and cycling from our doorstep. We will provide you with a local OS Map and are more than happy to point you in the right direction for some lovely local walks.

The beach is a short 20-minute drive, giving you a multitude of water-based activities, and there are a plethora of excellent country pubs in close proximity.

We are pet friendly, so do bring your fur baby along with you.

We are 25 minutes from the vibrant town of Hastings and St Leonards on Sea and 45 minutes from the city of Brighton and Hove.

Getting to us is easy as we are 20 minutes from Polegate train station, which has a direct line to London Victoria. Alternatively, if you are driving, we have 4 designated parking spaces on site.
