    Welcome to Ocean Reef 601!

    Ocean Reef in Gulf Shores is in a prime location, within walking distance to the center of town! This cozy 2 bedroom condo is located on the first floor and accommodates up to 6 guests. 2BR/1BA unit has a private balcony with a partial view of the beach. Shops and dining close by and an easy walk to town -- just a few steps to the white sand beach!

    Complimentary, free WiFi included. 60" Smart TV available in the living room. This fully equipped vacation home has D/W, 3 Flat Screen TVs, 2 DVD players, icemaker and all appliances.

    The master bedroom offers an upgraded king mattress ensuring rest and total comfort. Both bedrooms have access to the private balcony.

    Front door opens to beautiful pool alcove. Covered parking for 2 compact cars or 1 full size vehicle, permit required ($40/each); Parking pass(es) will be purchased on-site at the guard shack, which is located in front of the pool, after 4pm CT. The parking pass must be purchased with cash only. BBQ area next to gorgeous pool. Coin-operated Washer/Dryer facility on-site. COMPLEX & POOL RENOVATED!! Recently updated pool decking, paint, siding and roofs for complex.

Nice place to stay

Property pictures were exactly what the property looked like. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Easy access to the beach and the pool was nice when we didn’t want to go to the beach. We would stay there again.

Amazing stay

This was a wonderful place to stay. The location was perfect. The only complaint I would mention is that the walls are thin. You can hear your neighbors really well. Luckily everything did quiet down by 11 every evening. I would highly recommend this condo.

Our stay was great! Property was at a really great location. Only problem was that they were doing work in the condo above allot of noise but worker did apologize. Overall it was a good stay!

Loved how convenient it was to access the beach, which was our main priority. Good option for a quick trip. Wouldn’t recommend if staying more than a couple of nights.

Exactly what we needed

We had a chance to go and watch my daughter's team for the college beach volleyball tournament being held outside The Hangout. This place popped up with a great price, perfect fit for sleeping and within walking distance to the courts. We were pleasantly surprised, given the age of the property, at how quaint and comfortable it is. The location is perfect for walking to shops, restaurants and of course, the beach. We would definitely book this place again. Also, it was super clean!

A great location for beach access and quiet, but close to several restaurants and shops.

Ocean Reef 601 was easy to find and the parking spot and view directly overlooks the access to the beach. The beach access is literally a 1 minute walk from the condo’s door! Pool and laundry access right outside the door. Location is just 2 blocks from the main drag which kept it quiet from rowdy tourists, but close enough to walk to several restaurants/shops. We would definitely recommend this location to friends.

Overall a great stay. I would not recommend anyone staying that likes piece and quiet. If you get lucky and have considerate neighbors above you’ll enjoy. If not, well…

In the original listing, the sofa was a sofa sleeper. We went in expecting our oldest daughter to be able to sleep on that. She cannot bed share with her two little sisters. I was very disappointed when I went to pull out her sleeper bed and it was a very hard couch. She had to spend the week sleeping on a couch that isn’t comfortable at all. I don’t see how this place sleeps 6. 2 people cannot sleep on the top bunk. It felt very shaky and full size beds aren’t made for two adults or even two bigger kids. But we made it work the best we could.

Cute Beach Condo Escape

Had to evacuate NOLA from Hurricane Ida aftermath. They didn't price gouge, location was great and the condo had everything we could ever need. And they made it super cute and beachy, you can tell the owners put a lot of love into the place. Only downside were the thin walls. The condo above us was rented out twice in one week and was like Cirque du Soleil acrobatic troupes. Both families 8+ guests and no phone number to call and complain after 9pm. I wish whoever rents that unit out would ensure a limit on guests. Otherwise our condo was great. Would absolutely stay again.

Disappointing

I have never written a negative review at ANY place we’ve stayed. We were looking forward to spending time in this condo, it seemed to have all of the things we were looking for as far as beachside with pool and walking distance to many things. However, when we arrived there was a leak in the ceiling of the closet of the bedroom. We called and after a little bit of runaround, the manager told us he was waiting for a roofer and was at their mercy (it was after hours). He said he’s be in touch and try to get to us on Tuesday. Tues came and he showed up but with my kids there, gave them info that it wasn’t a roof leak (which my husband being a contractor already knew and mentioned to him it was either from the condo above or some condensation from pipes) and someone would be by to look at. All of this being told to our kids (19 & 15) as we were at the store, he never contacted myself or my husband. It’s frustrating as the closest looks as if this has been an ongoing issue and patched several times. We could not use - clothes went into the kids rooms, could use extra pillows or blankets as they were wet. Cleanliness left much to be desired. There was sand on the bed in the kids room, sand all over the floor, bathroom and bedrooms were super dusty and just felt dirty (mirrors had spots, hair on wall, mirror and shelf in bathroom, dishes we used were all dirty and had old food on them so I hand washed them all. Every time I swept there were ants all over the floor. To feel comfortable, I had to spend my first night cleaning and continued to sweep daily just to make sure the ants weren’t out of control. Also, if you are looking for quiet, this is NOT the place. You can hear every foot movement or something being moved upstairs, the pool has a time restriction but it was not followed. There were parties and kids out there some nights until well after midnight. We enjoy being out but being there for early ball games it was not the place for rest. Be sure to bring EVERYTHING with you. No spices, sugar, coffee filters, extra toilet paper or paper towels or trash bags. We travel a lot and stay in condos and there are basic essentials left. Needless to say our stay here was less than what we hoped. We had a great time in the area and on the beach but the inconveniences and issues with the condo out a little damper on the relaxation part. Will be hesitant to reserve this again. 😔
