"A lovely, quaint and homely guest house with friendly, helpful staff. My room was clean, comfortable, warm and cosy. I was given a guided tour of the breakfast facilities upon check in and then shown to my room. The breakfast itself next morning was delicious and made to order. Rothay Garth is situated right at the heart of Ambleside, with all the local amenities only a couple of minute's walk away. There was also ample free parking on the premises. "The apartment was truly amazing, from the minute you enter the main door, there is a wonderful fragrance. Upon entering the apartment, the deco was ver tasteful and the technology with electric blinds and a mirrored tv were amazing. Its very specious and very clean.The best place I've stayed in.The location is walking distance to everything in Kirkby Lonsdale. The owner went above and beyond, checking we were happy with everything. "

"A clean comfortable and cozy place friendly and welcoming with an attentive staff. We stayed for 4 nights in late November and would stay again. The room was clean and comfortable if a little small, though the en-suite bathroom off an inside hallway didn’t have much heat and was freezing.
