We were staying in the heatwave and there was no aircon and the windows only opened a limited amount so it was too hot to sleep normally. Wasn’t helped by someone turning on the heated towel rail when we reported the bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working. I would potentially stay again but not in hot weather"

"Very nice hotel, a lot more "upmarket" than your traditional seaside hotel. The bed was comfy, air con (not usually needed in the UK but it was 27+degrees the few days we stayed), decent toiletries, great selection of tea and coffee in the room. The type of room we booked included robes and slippers. It's a quite far from the pier if that's the vibe you're looking for. "We had a lovely weekend at Arden House. Lucie organised everything with so much attention to detail and care that being there felt like a cosy home. We even received a welcome card and chocolate Easter eggs every time the room was cleaned. The location was also great, just a five-minute walk from the castle. The rooms were spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend staying there!"

The listing mentions that the venue will be playing loud music, but I would’ve expected a bit more effort in soundproofing the rooms. I would not recommend this venue to anyone who doesn’t feel like sleeping one single-glazed window away from unrestrained club bangers until 3am and all the drunken revelries you would expect. "Like myself, not everybody has satnav. The signposting to the Comfort Inn could be improved. However, once you know the spot, it's a good one with several travellers' services on and around the premises. The building, bedroom and bed were clean and comfortable. I spent three nights; one morning breakfast was from a short wish list, the others were from a self service buffet. Good, but as a vegetarian I missed the tomatoes. Ample parking space in front of the inn."
