"The only negatives I would say was that the pool and fitness were closed the week we were there and has been closed for quite a while. Staff were great. It was nice having two restaurants on site so we could go right from our hotel without going outside. The room was really nice, big walk in shower, plenty of hot water, robes and nice big towels. Bed was amazingly comfy."

Then we came back at the end of our trip for four nights and stayed in Port Royal room, and this one was much bigger with bigger bathroom. Both rooms were on the first floor. The manor was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of yogurt, muffins, cereal, as well as eggs freshly made with toasts and bacon or sausage. Juice, coffee, tea and milk. "The room was clean but the air conditioner was very noisy and the bed was not comfortable. Got very little sleep. Turned the air conditioner off to try and get some sleep. The temperature rose up to 26° C, so had to turn the air conditioner back on."

"The facility is rustic, has no elevator, and all rooms are on the 2nd floor so without staff helping take luggage to the room it would have been a challenge. This was evident upon checkout as there were no staff to help bring luggage down the stairs. The room and bathroom were clean, but the closet had a sign saying “Do not use due to water leak”. We did have a lovely meal in the attached restaurant and the staff were excellent!"

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. I wasn’t expecting a kitchen in the room, but it proved to be very convenient. The only thing that I was disappointed in, was there wasn’t a charging station for my EV Hybrid vehicle."

"Breakfast at little Sparo was fabulous Room was terrible, very depressing, not sure why we had a handicap room, asked for harbour view, even though we booked 3 months in advance , & gave us parking lot view! Staff was just ok, not too helpful regarding any enquires we had about the area. Wouldn’t stay at Doubletree again!"
