"Room spotless , check in great , not enough staff at morning breakfast , coffee was missing , we had to ask , no bowls for cereals, no spoons , no orange juice . Not end of the world but the restaurant was a not even 1/4 capacity full. Took almost 20-25 mins to receive breakfast , again there were only 5 tables ."

"The front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. We appreciate the welcome champagne, cookies and hot chocolate. We had to check in and out at the High Peaks Resort which is infront of Lake House. It was snowy in January so it was as expected. It was mushy and all but we love the whole set up. The room was basic but clean. We had a view of the lake from the room. There was parking adjacent to our room. We live the fireplace and pool table at the lobby of Lake House. "We had a fantastic stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and had all amenities we needed. Breakfast was above average. It is situated in a prime location as well. Being that we were primarily there to ski at Whiteface, it was a short 15 minute drive. Everything in the town of Lake Placid is within minutes. Would highly recommend!"
