"We stayed there for one night. We didn't spend much time in the Caravan park but we did noticed that the facilities are very clean and well maintained. The cabin was very clean and the bed it was comfortable as well. Very friendly staff. There is no much to do in the caravan park but definitely worth it for overnight stay. Heaps to do in that area! "No frills budget room with a bed and a clean bathroom in a 150 year old quirky little mansion. The "breakfast served daily" note in this Expedia listing is to be interpreted as served downtown in the restaurant of your choice (and paid for by you) LOL. The vibe here is memorable and the history is fascinating. We loved our stay."

"It was a different and unique experience to stay in the old gaol with the kitchen, common rooms and showers being communal - to learn the history was great. No amenities included in the room (room just including bed, toilet and sink) - though there was a great amount in the shared kitchen. While everything was communal it was extremely clean and inviting. James and Melissa were super friendly as well as their little cats! "

"Really easy stop for us on our Road Trip. Room was spacious and absolutely perfect for a nightly stop. Pool was good, very warm and perfect for kids and a quick dip. The shower in the room is in desperate need of some bleach on the walls, a bit of black mould forming, apart from that the stay was good and the staff nice enough."

"It was a good experience. Helpfull staffs and relatively quiet downtown accommodation. Experienced loud music from adjacent rooms during the weekend nights but got stopped by 11:00 pm. The management Seriously need to get rid of that dirty old Sofa in the Matthew living room as it is awful with dirty spots and marks…otherwise it deserve a five star. Will nmot be suitable for elderly folks who will not be able to climb two flight of stairs carrying luggage up and down."

"Great stay, we will be booking again when in Mt Gambier. A convection microwave would be useful for staying 3-4 nights so we could cook rather than just heat? Excellent otherwise."
