Loblolly Cottage is a peaceful retreat set among towering pines on our
property in Germantown NY. This guest suite harkens back to an authentic 1930s Adirondack cabin that features a reclaimed barn wood interior with vaulted ceilings and antique beams. Outside enjoy our fantastic deck with a Cabana kitchen and fire pit. A short stroll will lead you to the heart of the hamlet where you will find an array of shops and restaurants. Loblolly Cottage is a unique one-of-a-kind vacation experience.

Coffee mugs, clean plates, and silverware were great. The brita water jug was even better. Comfortable pillows and dishTV. We didn’t spend much time inside but when we did it felt like a home away from home. Thank you, Mr. Kimmel!

Loblolly Pines did not disappoint

My wife and I stayed for our 15 year wedding anniversary. The cottage and outdoor area were perfect for our getaway. Indoors was very clean, organized and cozy. The outdoor deck, kitchen and firepit nestled under the tall pines was a great atmosphere. Loved the fire pit. Our host Billy was a great communicator and host. The main house is nearby, but did not impede on our privacy. We drove 45 minutes to a local waterfall and had an amazing hike. There are also many great dining opportunities in the surrounding towns. We went to Wm Farmer and Sons in Hudson.

Fantastic home!!

Finally, we can rave about a home rental!! Loblolly is a quaint cabin with all of the amenities you could wish for. We cancelled dinner reservations twice because we just wanted to bring in food and enjoy the stay. Relaxing on the hammock with the firepit and outdoor kitchen was superb! Very clean, cozy and private. The homeowner lives next door but the backyard is secluded so we didn’t see him other than check-in. He checked in to be sure we had everything we needed. Otto’s Market is right up the road and had awesome breakfast sandwiches and essentials. If you stay here and want to take a 30 minute drive, we highly recommend Stissing House for dinner. It was off the charts! Thank you for a much needed and relaxing rental home. The decor and vibe was absolutely perfect!

Can't Wait to Return!

We had a wonderful weekend in the Hudson Valley and can't thank Billy enough for how helpful and attentive he was. He struck the perfect balance of being welcoming and hospitable, but allowing us all the privacy and flexibility we needed. The cottage feels so homey with all the personal touches, and we felt quite comfortable and had everything we needed. Would recommend this cottage to anyone else visiting the area, and can't wait to come back ourselves!

Cozy cottage off the beaten path

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy location. Loblolly Cottage is a small space appropriate for no more than two, but has everything you may need through a smart, clean, and efficient design. The deck is a particular highlight. The host provided us with lots of guidance about the area, and was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely go back.

Delightful stay

What a beautiful little cottage! I had a fabulous few days by myself at this adorable spot where no detail was missed. Billy is the ultimate host! He really thinks of everything. I was taking a course at the Omega Institute but wanted to stay off the property. This was a convenient, easy 30 minute drive to and from. I highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

We spent a wonderful long holiday weekend at the cottage. All was as described and Billy was a welcoming and accommodating host. The outdoor space was my favorite part! Even in the extreme heat, the shade and fans made for a pleasant reading retreat, while my husband preferred watching soccer in the cabin with the AC. We are not small people and would have preferred a larger bed, but we enjoyed our weekend of 'togetherness.' The location was perfect for exploring the area while providing a quiet, private retreat at the end of the day.

Was in town for a wedding and this property was perfect. Close to the venue and reception, close drive (20min-ish) to grocery stores, and the owner was a phenomenal host. Highly recommend.

Perfect Romantic Weekend

We really enjoyed staying here..Billy was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area…..Cooked in the first night…travelled to a Billy recommended waterfalls the next day as well as visited Olana ..an historic site very close by…Dinner in town and a walk for ice cream…We really liked the area…We’ll be back

Loblolly Cottage / July 2023

Online and check-in communication was very good. Nice bathroom and outdoor deck. Listing did not mention that the quasi-kitchen was outdoors. There was a refrigerator but no wash-up sink; guests leave dirty dishes for the owner. While this was doable for a couple of days in good weather, we would not repeat the experience. Very small main room with not enough horizontal storage area for baggage.
