Surf Doctor - Beautiful 3/2 - Steps to the Beach!

If you are feeling sick of your day-to-day, and are looking for a beachside vacation spot, look no further! Surf Doctor will have you rested and relaxed in no time. Less than a minute from the water, this Palm Beach home is sure to provide sandy fun for the whole group.

This home features board games, outdoor games, books, and movies to keep everyone entertained. There is also a highchair provided for any little ones in the family! Spend time soaking in the partial water views from the main deck or move to the screened in balcony off the master bedroom for some light beach breezes.

This home is pet friendly. Dogs are welcome at Surf Doctor and has a limit of two (2) dogs with a combined max weight of 50lbs and with an additional $100 non-refundable fee required per dog. Under no circumstances are puppies under one (1) year of age allowed on the premises.

Please note the fireplace is for decoration ONLY.
The ground level has a picnic area, charcoal grill and an outdoor shower with both hot and cold water for when your beach days come to a close. There is a ground floor entrance to the home that leads to a stairwell lined with books and games.
Upstairs features a large deck with a partial water view and seating areas. Through the upstairs entrance, to the right you will find the open-concept kitchen and living room. The living has more board games, a Roku TV, and a second TV for DVD, and HDMI devices. To the left of the entrance is the breakfast bar off the kitchen, as well as the main dining table. To the right of the living room, you will find a bedroom with a pyramid bunk bed (twin over full), and another bedroom containing a queen-size bed. There is also a shared hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Off the dining area is the master bedroom with a king-size bed, TV, and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower, no tub. There is a lovely screened in balcony off the master bedroom with lots of seating. The washer and dryer are in the closet of the master bathroom.
Location: 1 minute walk to the beach; 8.5 mile drive to 61st Street; 12 mile drive to 25th & Strand; 9 mile drive to Moody Gardens/Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

Galveston Family Spring Break

Easy check-in. Well appointed home- short walk to the beach. Clean. No issues at all. Only suggestion is a lounger chair for the deck:) Easy check out. Thanks for a great stay.

Beach Vacation

Loved the location. Short walk to the beach. House had EVERYTHING you needed for the beach. Deck could use work. Railing needs painting, but that’s the Texas sun. Good takeout places nearby. Wish we could go back. Went to rebook and pricing was way too much. Feel like we got it for a steel when we did.

Family Beach Vacation

This was our first time renting a beach house and we are so very thankful for choosing the”Surf Doctor.” It had everything we needed and much more to make our visit feel like we were at home. Loved the outdoor shower for rinsing off after enjoying time at the beach, which was just a short walk. Our two grandchildren enjoyed playing with the sand toys you supplied and the wagon made it easy to take what we needed to the beach. Thank you for making our reservations easy! The Surf Doctor will heal your soul

From the moment we arrived in Galveston the management company was in communication via text. Super easy lockbox with keys inside for entry to house. Didn’t have to worry about batteries going dead on a keyless entry. The house is exactly like the pictures and is so close to the beach we walked down everyday with tent and chairs in tote. House had great a/c and pretty much all cooking utensils available to grill out or cook inside. We had a great time meeting neighbors and their pets on the beach.

The house is beautiful, clean and spacious. The AC works fantastic, the beach is close, and the neighbors are awesome. The texts from property manager were perfectly timed for arrival and they were very helpful with everything.

Perfect location

We loved the house. It’s even closer to the beach than we thought. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there are a ton of beach toys available too. The living space was large and comfy. We lost power for a bit due to a storm. Property management was responsive, had flashlights on site, and kept in touch to confirm power was restored.

Very updated, modern, clean beach home! Even better in person

I've rented a lot of beach houses in Galveston over the years. Many of which do not always look exactly like the pictures in the listing. This house was even better in person. Everything is up to date, modern and clean! You can tell that this house is very well maintained and taken care of. I was worried about the deck being too open and exposed to afternoon sun, but there is actually a larger overhang than what you can see in the pictures and provides plenty of shade at the right time of day. No real water or beach views unless you stand in a particular area of the deck, but it's plenty close enough for a very short walk to the beach. Very comfortable beds and furniture (inside and out). Will definitely be renting this house again in the future.

Beyond Expectation :)

I had several questions prior to booking and was relieved at the prompt response that I received from Gary Greene Vacation Rentals. Raquel and Belinda w/ GGVR assisted me throughout the entire process and addressed any concerns I had. We no issues with the check in/check out process and everything was well-described in the documents received. I love how we were constantly updated via text with what we needed to do, the code to the home and several other reminders etc., that were helpful. This was our first trip to the beach with our dogs and our experience with this home, was nothing less than impressive! Close proximity to the beach, no issues inside or outside w/ the home and the kitchen was fully stocked w/ all the appliances we needed. We will definitely be coming back to this property!

Great Beach Escape

We enjoyed our week in Galveston, the house was exactly as pictured, it was very clean, and very close to the beach. We love the front deck with lots of seating and the house had much more available to use then was even listed which was a nice surprise. It was very comfortable for our small family but I would say it would be rather challenging if you did have nine people. The entire home was decorated beautifully and lots of upgrades and remodeling with the only exception being it needs a new microwave and dishwasher. Overall it was a great quiet place to stay .

Great Little House

Our family loved the house! Close to the beach! Just outside of town but close enough to do things if you like. Clean property with a nice big deck to sit on. Plenty of chairs and beach toys with a wagon to haul them for the short walk! We highly recommend the place!

Better than the pictures

Place was really nice, really close to the beach. All the extras like fully outfitted kitchen, clean folded towels, stocked beach gear closet made it super easy. I chose this place because it looked clean and well mai tained and was not disappointed. Loved the big upper deck and the outdoor shower. Would come back to this location. One note, watch that entry area, stubbed my toe on the brick..! Great experience overall...

Our family had a great time. Nice being so close to the beach, walking a matter of feet to see the sunrise in the morning and looking for crabs at night. We were surprised to find all the beach supplies and even quite a bit of necessities in the kitchen cupboards. We left some stuff behind as others seem to have done before us. Really should have taken better advantage of the supply of books though. House was clean and well taken care of. Thanks for everything!

No instructions on how to use anything TV nest AC unit, The property definitely was not well maintained at all I will never go there again, Screamed in porch door kept coming open open and I froze my you know what off twice!

Galveston weekend

Close to beach with peakaboo view of the ocean. Beach is less crowded than most and does not allow vehicles. House was very clean and well set up. A lot of beach supplies including chairs and a canopy. New grill with charcoal provided.

Wonderful stay!!

We truly enjoyed our time at this rental. The house looked even better in person, and was very clean and new. It was a very short walk to the beach, which made it very easy to go and come back when we needed a break from the heat. We would absolutely stay here again.
