Fins is your home at the village of Happy Valley on the stunning eastern beach of Fraser Island.

Fins is a two-level house where each level has a kitchen, dining, and living rooms. The house also has 2 covered gas bbqs, a laundry with washing machine, an outside covered fish cleaning area and ample parking. There are TVs with digital reception in the living rooms on each level, plus free Starlink WiFi that covers the entire house.

The house accommodates a maximum of 10 guests (including children) and offers the following:
5 bedrooms, 10 beds, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 dining/living/TV spaces, and 2 large decks

NB: The split system aircon units visible in the upstairs bedrooms are decommissioned and are locked off. This is because the off-grid solar power system cannot support these units at this stage.

1 - Downstairs configuration

Adjacent to the living area is another bed with a pullout trundle
Bathroom (in addition to the ensuite in Bedroom 1) - shower, toilet and handbasin
Kitchen - Well equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is a gas four burner stove and gas oven. The kitchen also has a full size electric fridge, chest freezer and microwave
Dining - Wooden table and 6 chairs
Lounge - Two leather couches for watching a large TV and DVD player
Deck - 8-seat outdoor tables and chairs


2 - Upstairs configuration
Bedroom 1 - Queen size bed, single bunk beds, and single child's bed and ensuite (shower, toilet and handbasin)
Bedroom 2 - Queen size bed plus portacot in wardrobe
Bathroom (in addition to the ensuite in Bedroom 1) - shower, toilet and handbasin
Kitchen - Deluxe, new, large and well equipped with a double sink, 5 burner European gas stove, microwave and dishwasher. A Nespresso coffee machine is included
Dining - Table and 8 chairs
Lounge - Leather couches, and a large screen TV and DVD player
Deck - 8-seat outdoor tables and chairs
Both the kitchens have plenty of cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and supplies for you.

Important things to note before you book:
1. You must provide your own linen:
You are required to bring your own linen sheets & towels. Other bedding such as pillows, protectors and blankets are provided. Use of sleeping bags instead of sheets is not permitted.

2. Not a party house or village:
Fins is located in Happy Valley which is a peaceful village. You are required to minimise noise after 10pm out of respect for others staying at the village. This is not a 'party house' or 'party village'.

3. Dingoes:
Happy Valley is enclosed by a dingo proof fence to ensure the safety of small children.

4. Solar system with back-up generator:
The home uses a silent, eco-friendly 'state of the art' solar power (with battery storage) system with back-up generator. It is important this system is not overloaded with additional appliances or car fridges please.

5. On-site management:
Fins is maintained to a high standard by people who live in Happy Valley. They are easily contactable and readily available should guests need anything.

6. Self-clean:
Fins is a self clean 'leave it as you find it' property. Cleaning products are provided. You should dispose of any household rubbish at the nearby tip on departure.

7. No agents or subletting:
The person making the booking must be a resident guest, not acting for a third party.

8. Portacot and highchair:
If you would like to have access to the high chair and the port-a-cot please notify us in advance so these will be ready for you to use.
