Beluga - Waterfront Retreat: Secluded lodges perfect for nature lovers

If you or a family member or loved one use a wheelchair or need other special accommodations, our two-bedroom Beluga and Despatch lodges are designed with special attention and care to make your stay easy, fun, and memorable.

These two lodges are suitable for up to four people and are wheelchair-accessible, with a separate parent’s/carer’s retreat that includes its own living area and ensuite bathroom with spa bath. This “retreat within a retreat” also has its own kitchenette and eating area.

The main area of the lodge offers a wheelchair-friendly bathroom with an open-plan shower and low vanity for easy access opposite a bedroom containing two single beds, which can be arranged to suit your needs.

These cozy lodges are located in a beautiful, tree-shaded bush area where you can relax on the large private deck and watch kangaroos, birds, and echidnas pass by. Your lodge includes everything you need for a peaceful, memorable stay, including TVs and DVD players, a fully equipped kitchen, a gas log fireplace, a large dining table, and a BBQ for outdoor cooking.

To allow an up-close and personal experience with local wildlife, we’ll have kangaroo and bird food available at your lodge. Waterfront Retreat offers a beautiful place to simply relax and enjoy nature, but there’s also plenty to do. Canoe, kayak, or fish on the Gippsland Lakes, or enjoy a soak in our outdoor spa bath or heated indoor pool.
