Sea Urchins beach house - a beach house that sleeps 5 guests in 2 bedrooms

Living area

Enter through the side door into the hallway with coat and shoe storage and open plan living space. There's a well-equipped kitchen with tall fridge-freezer, electric convection oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer, and a dining table with seating for 5. In the front living area, you'll find a new smart TV, sofa-chaise, and tub armchair. There are bifold doors onto the front deck.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The main bedroom at the rear of the house has a kingsize bed with quality medium/firm mattress and new ensuite shower room. It is also fitted with a new smart TV. The second bedroom has new zip and link beds (twin, or king on request) with medium/firm mattresses. This too has a smart TV. This room has an ensuite shower room with jack-and-jill doors from the hallway too. If there are 5 guests, we also have a sofa-bed in the living room (optional extra).

Outside

The front deck has a cube table and chairs, and gets the morning sun, ideal for alfresco breakfast or morning coffee. The children can also play on the communal lawns at the rear of the neighbouring houses. We leave lots of toys and equipment in the store box near the side door.

Parking

The house has a driveway with space for 2 cars.

Heating

The house has gas central heating, electric towel rails in the bathrooms, and a log burner too. We do not supply logs.

Accessibility

The driveway/path sleepers can be uneven and slippery when wet and therefore this property may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Other things to note

Free BT fibre wifi. The Property has lots of extras like a tassimo coffee machine, children's cutlery, clothes rack, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, first aid kit, lots of games (adults, families & kids) and beach equipment. Table tennis equipment and boules are also provided for use at the on site facilities. A travel cot and high chair are also available.

Great location

Lovely place to stay, found booking activities (swimming sessions) not easy. Thought I’d booked , but was told I hadn’t, which is very disappointing with young children , but overall a very great place to visit

Very comfortable

Very good experience staying at the Beach House with our 14 year old Labrador ( his first holiday) The property was very cosy like home from home . We arrived late afternoon so the welcome pack (milk, coffee ) etc was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to our friends. The site was very clean and the bar was very welcoming with our dog.

Week break in Filey

The property was outstanding. It was immaculate inside with every home comfort you could wish for. The owner was exceptionally friendly and provided lovely personalised welcome information. The location was perfect with the playground, restaurant and swimming pool in close proximity. We had a fantastic week and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you so much for being so accommodating. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely chalet in safe location, easy walk to beach

Bright and cheerful chalet. Easy access to beach, pub and café. Nice beach walk to Filey for coffee / chips. Great for dogs.

The bay

I had a accident on the logs which are laid outside everywhere, due to this I had to come home nearly a week early anyone who is elderly has a disability or even children should be made aware.

Overall really, really lovely...well equipped and perfect location near Filey beach. Paula reacted immediately when there was a problem with the drains. Very small gribble...would benefit from a freshen up and a few new kitchen towels/utensils.

Beautifully presented and very well equipped

Filey, Filey beach and the surrounding area is well worth a visit. We were lucky and had great weather. The Bay Resort is also well designed to suit your needs with many amenities catered for. We felt the shop was rather lacking in good food and typical necessities and would put the icing on the cake if it provided an improved selection.

We are just home from a fantastic stay at Seaurchin Beach House! The house was great, beautiful decor, very well equipped in all areas including toys/dvds/games as well as everything you need in the kitchen. Lovely comfortable beach house, had everything we needed and more.

A well presented beach house with all the mod cons you can need for a week away. Lovely and warm as still a bit cold in March with radiators and instant hot water. Well equipped kitchen and selection of toys, board games and dvds. A few small areas need attention but nothing that detracts from the quality of the overall house. The Bay is a lovely place and obviously still under development but will be amazing when finished. Could do with a small shop for convenience.

We had a lovely stay in your lovely beach house, weather was great which made it a pleasant walk to the beach. The beach house had everything you needed, my son loved finding all the toys etc it certainly kept him occupied. Pub on site is lovely and food is good, we enjoyed a bike ride to Filey and we drove to Bridlington and Scarborough so plenty to do to make this an enjoyable/relaxing holiday The Chummers Family Hartlepool

Great stay at the Beach House (Sea urchins), everything you could ever want in a holiday accommodation. Great central location, close to all the amenities at the Bay as well as been central to all the best Yorkshire coastal resorts. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon - thank you
