"A short way out of Aberdeen city, the Ferryhill is a lovely property. We stayed two nights. Our room was a good size with a desk and chair. The bed was very comfortable, water was hot and the WiFi good. We had tea and coffee facilities and cookies in the room. Parking is easy. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner on one night. Breakfast was okay with cereal and a selection of cooked meals. I wasn’t too happy with my scrambled eggs as they were very dry but my husband enjoyed the...

"Absolutely beautiful apartment. Great location across the street from the river for a nice stroll on the path by the river. It’s stocked with every possible amenity — even an espresso machine and ice maker. The kitchen is well stocked. The host is exceptionally responsive to any questions that may arise. Check in/out process was seamless. I would highly recommend for a 5-star experience."

"When you flush the toilet in bathroom it makes a horrible loud noise. Info on apartment states it has washer and dryer - it does not. It has a washer and a hanging rack. There was still food in fridge and cabinets, was only given 2 towels for 4 people. Beds are close to floor and are horrible. No roller paper in one of the bathrooms. I truly wanted to walk out. "

I've never heard anything so crazy, and have never knowingly stayed in a hotel without one before. It is DISGUSTING. Surely you don't expect travellers to supply their own? The most basic piece of hospitality equipment. I felt degraded."

"Rooms are not at all looked after. Run down bathroom with broken tiles and cracked bathtub. Both taps leaking. Very basic furniture in the bedroom. Mirror was resting on the wall and furniture all faded and worn out. Terrible lighting and no effort made to make the room look pleasant. Lift was not working. Parking and the hotel location was convenient. We left a day early as the room experience was quite poor."

"The room itself wasn't too bad..our problem was the shower is was much too slow and it was either too hot or to cold ..could seem to get it to where it was comfortable to shower..the shower and in the corners of the rooms and behind the toilet were dirty...I think they were renovating so I'd stay again for a few nights if I was sure the showers were fixed"

"I loved everything. Phantastic value for money in a big city that does not have Hostelling Scotland Youth Hostels. Of course this is not a 4 star hotel! With the start of check-in, there is a receptionist that hands out the key. So everything cool. The only thing that irritated me, was that the telephone number on the booking form did not work. I had to write an email and request the telephone number which I got immediately. It is a mobile number. Apart from that ... 100% recommendation. P.S....
