Just a few steps from the chair lift, this brand new 3000 sq ft all-season family-friendly getaway at the Fernie Alpine Resort has it all and awaits your stay!
Our ski-in-ski out alpine style home features 3 floors, vaulted ceiling with views of the ski slopes, 7 bedrooms and 3 master suites, 2 fully equipped kitchen and living rooms with fireplace, 2 in-suite washer/dryer, 3 BBQs, Internet, smart and cable TV.
The walkout basement features a large deck with hot tub for 7 and a huge game room.
Enjoy stunning views of the ski hill while sipping on your coffee in the morning before hitting the slopes, or apres-ski relax in the hot tub appreciating the beautiful views from our 3 massive decks.
Cook gourmet recipes in our extremely well equipped kitchen with state-of-the art kitchenware and appliances, and gather with family around the fireplace in the living room for a cozy evening of games and Netflix.
Great family memories are made in our 1500 sq ft spacious game room in the basement, with pool table, ping pong, air hockey, fooseball, various adult and family board games, toddler toys and much more!
Endless fun for everyone, even in rainy days!
Our house in baby-safe and pet-friendly. We have a playpen, high chairs and baby bathtubs on every floor.
Our driveway can accommodate up to 4 vehicles.

We have been vacationing in Fernie with our kids for the last 14 years, and we'd be more than happy to help you with anything you need, including restaurant recommendations, and such. We are available by text or phone anytime during your stay!
Fernie alpine Resort is famous for its legendary powder (37 feet a season) and 5 bowls, attracting ski enthusiasts from all over the world. Still not discovered by the masses, the resort is family-friendly and well known for its uncrowded slopes.
The town of Fernie is charming and cozy. With a population of only 5,000, it still offers high quality dining and entertainment - a true hidden treasure in British Columbia Rocky Mountains.
Shuttle buses from Calgary International Airport; nearest airport is in Cranbrook, BC.
We want to assure we are putting extra care and attention into our cleaning routines, making our house the safest for your stay. We maintain a high level of cleanliness, including disinfection of all touch points throughout the house, linens, throw blanklets, decorative pillows and bath maths.
Check out is at 10 am to allow for extra cleaning time. Check in at 3pm.
As we are a family-friendly home, we do not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 30.
This is a non-smoking property and NO parties are allowed. Quiet times from 10pm to 7am must be respected.
Our expectation is the house is used in a respectful manner and that all house rules are followed by all guests.
We have installed outdoor security cameras throughout the property as well as indoor and outdoor noise detectors.
Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. Our property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. We care a lot about maintaining good relationships with our community, so we appreciate your attention to this matter and your compliance with our house rules.
WE ARE A STRICT NO PARTY HOME. The hot tub and outdoor decks must not be accessed after 10pm.
Use the hot tub and outdoor premises at you own risk. Please ensure adequate use of the hot tub - please note no food or alcohol should be consumed in the hot tub.

The bathroom/bedroom needs more privacy. The shower glass needs at the least have frosted glass. The toilet needs to be in a water closet and not open to the bedroom.The rest of the house was great. The grandchildren and the adults enjoyed the games room. Some of the family liked the hot tub. The kitchen/dining ares worked wellThose who slept in the downstairs said people walking upstairs was noisy and woke them in the morning. Socks only for upstairs in the morning

Wonderful Location, Amazing Ski Mud Room, Very Comfortable

We just spent an amazing week at this ski house with multiple families and kids, and it was the perfect setup. The layout made it easy for everyone to have space, and we especially loved the game room. The multiple kitchens were a huge plus. The location was super convenient for skiing every day. Having a restaurant and bar right across the street was a fantastic bonus, giving us a great option for après-ski without having to go far.

Games room and well stocked house

The Qanuk house was perfect for our annual family ski vacation. Everything was very clean upon arrival and we appreciated all the amenities. The games room was a highlight for the 2 teenagers in our group. It was an easy 2 minute walk to the Elk Chair lift which was where we did most of our skiing with the little kids. A few tips for winter guests… If you have kiddos, bring a toboggan with a rope so you can pull them around. Send the kids out for night skiing on Saturday (the house was extra quiet for the adults that evening). The house has every cooking appliance available, which made it super easy to cook at the house and keep the group together. The small grocery store on the hill has any items you may have forgotten (and a well stocked section of libations).

Amazing ski trip for the whole family

We just spent 4 nights at this property in Fernie resort. While technically not ski in/out, it is a short walk across the street to the Elk Quad chair. The property had tons of space for our group of 12 that included a mixture of adults and kids. The games room was huge allowing a reprieve for both kids and adults! Maria was very helpful n her communication and we had everything we needed for a great stay!

Great proximity to the ski hill, good amount of kitchen items and utensils, spacious front mud room for skis and boots (you need to turn the heat on), and basement games room was a lot of fun. Note, there are no window blinds in the common areas, minor issues with check-in and amenities, but resolved quickly, main master en-suite including glass shower and toilet is open to bedroom (no privacy), hot water would run out on reasonable usage. Garbage is offsite by 3 min drive, however, seems common for the area.

Amazing Family Ski Accommodation

This house was the perfect house for our family. The ski hill is very close for the young people to come and go. The non skiers could easily go to the hill and watch. The entry is great for people coming and going. This house is setup so families members can have their space but still be together, and the games room is spectacular for all ages. The hot tub, deck, and barbeques completed our family trip. This was better that we could have imagined we would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you

Great location, nice house, lots of room

Good: great location, plenty of parking, very clean, plenty of room in the house for our group, well equipped kitchen, nice hot tub, great showers. Awesome mud room. Friendly, communicative owners. Not so great: Our check-in process was a bit of a hassle because we were given the wrong door code, several kitchen appliances didn’t work, you are asked to take your garbage to an off site garbage disposal location.

Fernie Family Vacation

Loved the area with the fishing, rafting, hiking, golf, pickleball, and cute downtown. The house was able to accommodate a large group and give everyone space. The kids loved the game room and many adults enjoyed the hot tub after the days' activities. The kitchen was well equipped and loved the fact that the dining table could seat our large group for dinner. We did have an issue with water, however. The shower in the second floor en suite could not get cold water (broken fixture?) and the bathroom in the first floor master rarely got hot water.

The Quanuk House Fernie

The property is very well located with easy access to and from the lifts. The house is very well set up and really good for a couple of families or a private group. Our group was all single adults, with one person in each room. The small bunk room is an issue for an adult as its a kids bunk bed and the quality of the bunk bed and mattress isn't great. However its a great home for entertaining and socializing together.

Great stay for large groups

This was a perfect house for a group of 9 adult skiers who wanted their own space and easy access to the Fernie slopes. The house was spacious and modern, well-appointed with cookware and dishes, and a fantastic boot room. The hosts were responsive and friendly. Highly recommend staying at the Qanuk if you are heading to Fernie!

Fernie Fam Jam

What a great place for a family get away. We had three families and grandparents together- 14 of us! The teens had so much fun using the games room and hot tub. The kitchens were well stocked and the family could gather together in the upper kitchen. Two bbqs were helpful. Lots of bathroom space and two washer/dryers. The only wish was for patio furniture to enjoy the beautiful big deck. I’d recommend this place in any season.

Great Fernie Ski House!

This is a great ski house, modern and roomy and very well appointed! We have been running a trip of 6 grad school friends for the past 18 years, all across North America and this ranks in the top 3 of all those trips. Perfect location, short walking distance to the lift and lodges, short drive to downtown - could not be more convenient or comfortable. Great kitchen and grill on the deck, great hot tub and game room. Could not ask for more for a ski getaway!

Excellence for multigenerational family gathering

Fabulous property! Ideal location for skiing with youngsters. We loved the space, the kitchen had everything necessary for making multiple dishes, lots of cutlery and dishware— the owners thought of everything to make your stay feel like home. Would highly recommend for multiple families who love holidaying together.

This property was fantastic!! Everything we could possibly need for a large family ski weekend (11 including the kids!!). We self catered and the kitchen was stocked very well!! All of us took full advantage of the games room. Having the ski hill accessible right across the road was perfect with the younger kids too!! We hope to visit again next Christmas break.

A Wonderful Family Gathering and Ski Holiday

The Qanuk provided a most comfortable and luxurious stay for our family gathering at the Fernie ski hill....lots of time spent in the games room and hot tub when not skiing or enjoying meals in the large grand room on the main floor. An excellent location for skiers as the Qanuk is only a short walk to the Elk Chair. Thanks Maria and John for ensuring our experience was the best.
