Stay at emu swamp

Our stay was wonderful although the heating was not very good considering orange is a cold place and our room was freezing with the oil heater going. Other than that our stay was great. Would have liked to meet the owners and actually talk over the phone instead of text messages.

The property was well located for our needs, quiet rural setting with nice surroundings, spacious and comfortable with a great queen bed, roomy shower with ample water volume, and though there is no air-conditioning, it must be well insulated as it was cool with an excellent ceiling fan, even though it was a hot weekend.

My experience at the guesthouse was fantastic, especially thanks to the incredibly comfortable bed. The bed exceeded my expectations, providing a restful night's sleep. I would gladly return for another stay and highly recommend it to others seeking a peaceful getaway.

Peaceful Paradise

My husband and I had a lovely restful stay and found the property had everything we needed. Kate was lovely although we barely saw anyone. Woke late each morning to the chirping of birds as it was so quiet. We enjoyed our much needed rest and also exploring the many lovely locations a short drive away including Milthorpe, our favourite, Cowra, Blayney, Carcoar, Orange, Lucknow, must check out the 2 Fat Ladies shop and cafe next to it. Beautiful holiday to recharge and we will be back to explore more.

Fantastic Place to Stay

Had a great time at Emu Swamp. The place was exactly what I needed. Very comfortable, clean and homely. Kate had the place looking immaculate when I arrived, as I was greeted with fresh milk and eggs that were home grown. I appreciate the fantastic hospitality and would recommend this to anyone or couple visiting the area.

A nice stay near Orange

We stayed here for two nights and this property is good value for money. 15min drive to the city center of Orange, friendly hosts when we met them, nice view through the sliding doors. Bed was comfy and I liked photo books to browse. Though the little things that make a stay special were missing: heater wasn’t on when we arrived (often hosts in the country do that to make the room warm for your arrival), shampoo and tea have run out, kitchen essentials are quite bare, with no chopping board and no sharp knives. Hens were not laying eggs during our stay so we didn’t have the included breakfast we were initially counting on. All in all, not major things and I would recommend staying here, though with no special expectations.

Perfect get away

We had a lovely time staying here, the property was exactly what we were looking for, we visited in winter and it was nice and warm. Comfy bed and great shower. The hosts were very friendly and respected our privacy ( this property is a guest house in close proximity to their house) Highly recommend
