The Gathering Place - 1 Block from Beach!

Newly renovated 5 Bedroom, 3 bath, beach house located one block from the ocean in Duck Horn Estates. Approximately one mile to restaurants and shopping and one mile from Cape Carteret Bridge allowing easy access on and off the island during the busy summer months. Hop on the Convenient Bike Trail and ride all the way to the Point or cruise to the nearby shops and restaurants. The ground level has a large living room with sitting area and separate entertainment space with a foosball table and other games. This level has a full bathroom with walk in shower. The second level has a large living room, dining area and fully stocked kitchen. There are two decks on this level: one off the kitchen with a grill and the other deck is oceanside. Two bedrooms are located off of the living room. A Queen Bedroom opens up to a large oceanside deck. The second bedroom has two twin beds. This level shares a full bathroom. The top level has three Queen bedrooms, two of which have oceanside walk-out decks. Step out on the deck with a nice cup of coffee from our upstairs keurig machine without having to go downstairs (bring your own coffee - we don't supply due to guests having their own preferences to coffee or tea flavors/brands)! We provide 10 beach chairs, 6 boogie boards, 1 beach umbrella with a sand anchor. We also provide beach sand toys and a few beach games and a splash pool for infants. On your way back from the beach, you can rinse off the sand in our outside enclosed shower on the ground level and store your beach items in the storage unit. DuckHorn Estates is a quiet section of Emerald Isle one mile off the Cape carteret Bridge . Hop on the convenient bike trail to explore the Point or bike to nearby retsaurants and shopping. Also, its an short walk to restaurants and a park close by.

Home away from home

This rental amazed myself and others as it felt like a private home. Very stocked with everything you need to cook with, serve with and so much more. I loved the beds and pillows. A very restful week waking with no pins at all. The adult kids loved using the boogie board available to us. If I get the chance to return I will see if this property is available first. Easy walk to the beach.

Perfect beach house!

To begin with, the owner of the home is a pleasure to deal with. Incredibly responsive and helpful. We have a large friend group and we always struggle to find a home that we all love and this one checked all the boxes. We all loved it, it fit us perfectly, super short walk to the beach, and a well equipped kitchen. We haven’t said this about any other home we have stayed in, but we will certainly be booking the home again.

Great house!

Stayed for a week and it was perfect. Lots of areas to hang out. Had 5 teens and the basement was a huge hit to retreat while the adults stayed upstairs. Only a 2 minute walk to beach and close distance to restaurants and grocery store. I would definitely stay here again

Forever Friends

The Gathering Place was perfect for everyone in attendance. It was roomy, clean and everything was included in the package that we needed. The only complaint that we had was the beds were a little high and soft, but everyone managed just fine. Our stay was great! We would rent this property again in the future.

Excellent place to stay in Emerald Isle

The Gathering Place was an excellent place to stay for our group. The property has been renovated recently and is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the beach. All rooms were nicely appointed and there were clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The downstairs flex space was a great place to hang out and play several types of games. The kitchen was equipped with everything and there was a bag of dishwasher pods, laundry pods, and a few rolls of toilet paper as well. The grill was also a great feature of the property. We hope to come back again!

Gorgeous property with ocean views from top bedrooms and balcony. Modern well-equipped kitchen. Great game room with lots of fun games. House had lots of cozy sofas and chairs for relaxing . Many rooms and balconies allowed for conversation or private spots to relax. We all loved it here.

Emerald Isle weekend

My husband and I went down for the weekend with a group of friends. The house was close proximity to the beach, which made walking super simple. The house was clean and ready for us. The Gathering Place was great for our group.

Beautiful property, very clean, great location. Wished we could have sat outside when it rained but nothing fully covered. Middle floor was uncomfortable due to air conditioning temperature limits. Basement was very cool. Upper levels not so much. Otherwise, it was a great vacation.

Emerald Isle Family Getaway

The cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed at. The property provided everything we would need at the beach. Kitchen was fully stocked to cool anything you wanted. Quick walk to the beach that my toddler could even do. Quiet and nice neighborhood. Short drive to all the attractions.

Amazing beach stay
