"A lovely little B&B. Perry was wonderful. Very friendly and cooked us a gorgeous breakfast before we left. Clean and tidy and not far from Southwell racecourse (about 7 miles). Would recommend."

"We had reason to request to move room and the staff were very accommodating and looked after us well - top marks for that. The evening dinner (pie of the day) was actually unexpectedly excellent and the accompanying veggies were nice and crisp - very enjoyable. The only minor quibble was that due to TV mounting it was next to impossible to get a HDMI stick plugged in (something maybe to check into). Anyhow, all in all, nicely situated and a nice place to stay at and all the staff we encountered...

"Lovely cottage over the road from the pub. Quaint, clean and pretty. Breakfast great, good quality food Evening meals ok, fish pie a bit dry which was a bit disappointing. Staff lovely, seemed a bit disorganised at times Overall an enjoyable stay "

"Firstly, I didn’t make use of the ‘amenities’. I was visiting parents who had moved house so this was literally a place to rest my head. That being said, the restaurant staff were lovely as I arrived late when l they were finishing shift so helped me find keys and get in. The room was decent - comfortable bed, shower and separate toilet. The only gripe I had was that the toilet light was on a timer so when cleaning teeth/washing face etc light would go off after 15s or so. Would definitely...

"The only issue we had was there was no one to check us in, The contact numbers we had no one answered. We actually felt like we were trespassing. After driving around for an hour someone finally returned our call & messages and arranged to meet us. We had almost given up & were going to go home. Having said that we ended up having a really enjoyable stay :)"

"Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome."

"Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. "Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "
