"Perfect for a late night arrival into Costa Rica. 4 minutes from the airport (I took a taxi, as they don’t have a shuttle pickup). The staff upon arrival was kind enough to help arrange transport to my next location (a ride to Quepos for $200). The shower was amazing - hot water and fantastic water pressure. And breakfast was the best - Nelly was so kind and the food a perfect introduction to Costa Rican cuisine. Enjoyed the pool under the mango tree. Pura vida!"

"We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. It was the perfect place to relax while still being close to the airport. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. One of my favorite parts was waking up every morning to fresh coffee from the farm. "They just finished painting the pool edge...looks great. This is our 3 year at the Trapp Family Inn. The only thing that was different was it was warmer than usually in San Jose than in previous years. The rooms were definitely warmer, but we were glad we had ceiling fans. Service, Food, and hospitality were great. We'll be BACK!"

"Overall the property was clean, beautifu and had very helpful staff, however, the rooms were a different story at least for my experience. The room had a musty smell to it and the bathroom had mold. Some of the outlets didn't work which were a little inconvenient but there were others to use thankfully. Bathroom is on the smaller side but still generally enough space. Seating was very limited at breakfast, but the staff did try to have a quick table turnover for people that were waiting....

The grounds of the property are beautiful and interesting with lots of birds and butterflies (note there is some small construction going on at the moment but this didn’t affect us). It was a relaxing and peaceful place for a few days with excellent hiking nearby to the waterfalls and river swimming pools. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the enclosed seating area at the front of each cabin, with fresh coffee provided, was a great place just to sit for a while....

"Julio was the absolute best! My husband and I went to Barcelo Tambor for our anniversary. We paid for 6 nights and stayed 4. The staff and people at the resort made it very clear that Americans weren’t welcome. We packed and left to find a hotel in San Jose and we decided on the Wyndham.
