"The only problem we had with the hotel was the hot stuffy room/
We realise that the budget price provided a budget room without AIR CON.
However we have stayed in very good 3 star hotels without this and they provide a portable fan.
Would stay here again because the pool facility is wonderful. The food was good too.
Just put a fan in the room without Air Con PLEASE"

"We were very unimpressed with the state of the building. We were in a tiny room in the attic with a bathroom that had no air con or extraction or any window that would open. The main room had a single socket that was practicably useful but from which it was impossible to position a fan to point at the beds.
The patio area outside had broken glass on it that they seemed oblivious to until we raised it. It was cleared up half an hour later. There was torn wallpaper in one of the corridors....

"The bed was very uncomfortable!!! It dipped in the middle so it was quite difficult to lie flat.
The balcony only had one seat on it but, as we couldn’t get the door open anyway, that wasn’t a problem.
I didn’t take a shower cap with me as I expected the hotel to provide a selection of toiletries. It didn’t.
The shower head was a bit loose and out of my reach and, at one point, it was actually pointing at the wall with most of the water running down the wall.
We definitely would not return and...

"Breakfast was ok, staff really good friendly and helpful but the property leaves a lot to be desired. Very dated and in real need of modernisation.
We booked a room with a 4 poster bed then on arrival were told we had a free upgrade to a 4 poster room.... Strange seeing as that's what we requested anyway.

"Excellent hotel. This was our second visit. Perfect location, just a short walk along the canal into the centre. Room clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent and well organised. Only criticism would be a lack of air conditioning in the room, although a fan was in the room. Overall, an excellent short break."

I have no problems with anything here, but if you're looking for points for improving ratings, I'd say TV could have been bigger (couldn't really watch it from the bed in room 6), and it would have been nice to be able to help yourself to breakfast items like cereals, milk, juice."
