St Michael's Church & Coker Court - East Coker Adjacent to the church is Coker Court, a Grade I Listed building dating from the C15, although what can be seen is a result of major work during the C18, and c.1900.

St Michael's Church - East Coker A late C12 church with C15 and C19 work. The central tower was deemed unsafe in 1790, and was replaced with the present tower in the northeast corner. Inside there are memorials to the buccaneer and explorer William Dampier (1652 - 1715), and the author and poet T.S. Eliot, whose ashes are buried here.

Coker Court and St Michael's Church East Coker, near to East Coker, Somerset, Great Britain. Coker Court was bought by Archdeacon Helyar in 1616 and remained in the hands of the same family until the middle of the last century. There have been many alterations - the east front visible was designed in the 18th Century by Sir William Chambers who also was the architect of Somerset House and the Pagoda in Kew Gardens. Both the church and the house are built in Ham stone. The photograph was taken literally minutes after the forager had cleared the silage grass in the park.
