"Rooms were very dated and cleanliness was not at a reasonable standard at all, bed linen was dirty, dust on every surface, walls mouldy and cracked and full of dust. Carpets were dirty with stains and covered in dog hair. Windowsills had dead bugs and dirt on them and beds were very uncomfortable (two single beds pushed together is not a double bed which is what we booked for both rooms) overall it was not a hotel we will be returning to."

"We had a very enjoyable stay at the Scone Arms. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and the improvements already completed look fantastic. Our room had been fully renovated and was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bar area has been completely updated and has a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. "It is a very peaceful place to stay. The hostess was extremely helpful and was very attentive to our needs. It is a very organic place to stay so be prepared for natural amenities and fresh homemade food. Breakfast was excellent and we were able to choose our dining time and options. Truly a little gem in the Scottish countryside."
