Fairfield Moravian Settlement. The Moravian church was founded in what is now the Czech Republic by followers of the reformer, John Huss. It claims to be the oldest protestant movement in Europe and was a pioneer of protestant missions. The Fairfield Moravian Church and its surrounding settlement was founded in Droylsden in 1785 by Benjamin La Trobe as a centre for evangelistic work in the Manchester area. The settlement was scheduled as a place of Historic Interest in 1966 and several of the buildings are scheduled as Grade II listed buildings.

Alles ok, zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sauber. Pluspunkt: Wasserkocher, Kaffee und Tee vorhanden. Die Lage ist top. Kleiner Minuspunkt: es war unglaublich kalt im Zimmer, insbesondere im Bad. Die AC lief nicht richtig und die mobile Heizung war nur teilweise hilfreich.

Loads of space, nice room, clean bathroom. Bed was mostly clean, a few stray fibres and it was also a bit springy feeling but the rest was great. Staff helpful and nice, check-in reasonably pain free, centrally located

Room was clean but the room configuration is all wrong, there’s a metal beam above the bed which you could easily bang your head on, they should have put the bed at the other end with the TV on the other wall and the room is too dark in colour
