Nice hotel, lovely stay for the weekend close to everything. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with our queries

Staff were friendly. Building works going on, so not as clean as usual in main hall way. The stairs are wooden, so it was noisy at night when other visitors came in. The doors do not close softly, so this was noisy until midnight. Free parking with plenty of spaces available was very helpful, as parking in the area is residential. Room was compact (as advised in advert) but limited hanging space. Tea, coffee, milk and loo paper not replenished daily. Fridge was at ground level and hard to open at base of bed. TV did not work. Radiator heating could not be turned down, or off, so room very hot requiring window left open (so noise pollution as near to student accommodation) Bathroom tap kept coming off. The bathroom needs a new towel radiator or hanging rail that is off the ground for the large towels - these had to be hung over the shower and there was no hanging hook in the bathroom for clothing, only a windowsill. Though the window was frosted, it did need a blind for privacy as the room is overlooked and visible when light on at night. Hoping this constructive feedback helps the hotel to improve the room.

A classy hotel well located by the Manchester Metropolitan University campus. The staff will go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The breakfast is varied and of quality. I would highly recommend this hotel!

An available wheelchair, an unacceptable attitude — we will not return As returning guests, we expected basic courtesy and consideration when visiting with my 82-year-old mother. Instead, we encountered a dismissive attitude that has completely changed our opinion of this hotel. We had borrowed the hotel’s wheelchair on previous visits, so I called reception beforehand to check whether it was available. I was told that it was available, but that we could not borrow it for “security reasons.” When I asked what had changed since our previous visits, the receptionist could not explain and asked me to wait. Another person then took the call and introduced himself as the hotel manager. His tone was condescending, and he questioned whether we had actually used the hotel before and, if so, when. Being treated with suspicion simply for asking about assistance for an elderly parent was deeply unpleasant. His explanation for refusing the wheelchair was equally disappointing. Among the reasons he gave was concern that we might take legal action against the hotel if my mother had an accident while using it. What began as a straightforward request for assistance became a conversation focused on protecting the hotel from hypothetical liability. I understand that hotels may have policies governing equipment use. What I find unacceptable is the failure to explain those policies clearly and respectfully, particularly when speaking to returning guests seeking assistance for an 82-year-old
