Down Hatherley Church Down Hatherley church is dedicated to St Mary and Corpus Christi, with the exception of the tower the church was rebuilt in 1859-60. Here the church is viewed from the north.

Hatherley Manor Now a hotel but once, Hatherley House, built in the 17th century supposedly for an illegitimate son of Oliver Cromwell (although there is no evidence to support this rumour), and one time home of Anthony Gilbert Jones, former mayor of Gloucester. Containing splendid 17th century and Regency fittings.

Great hotel with amazing possibilities to disconnect on the SPA. good internet connection and very confortable bed and very good shower. Personal very nice always ready to help. Front desk and breakfast

Wifi very poor. Poor selection of biscuits when the clubhouse is so remote and closed on an evening. Breakfast expensive for 1 sausage, 1 poached egg and two fatty rations of bacon and 1/2 a tomato & 1 slice of toast with no marmalade or butter.
