"We hada great time at Kasumai. We traveled with our son of 3,5. Good things at Kasumai are: pool area next to nice beach and palm trees, relaxed vibe, touristic but no overload compared to some resorts. Its not fancy but its defenetly good. The area is nice and relaxing and everything works well even though sometimes slow.
Bad things might be no elevator, no fancy entrance, but its worth mentioning that it always felt safe and secure.
The location is a small stretch away for the tourist center senegambia. To go there in taxi takes less than 5 minutes.
At kasumai you can eat vey very well in their restaurant where they grill excellent food, its not prefabricated and feels home made and is really nice. Also next to the big road 1 minute walk from the hotel there is another restaurant called "the roundabout" which is another very good option. Next to it there is a supermarket as well.
All in all I recomend the hotel. We hade a good and big room with ocean views, cleaning was great and everything worked in the room, AC, fridge, good shower etc. We also saw a room without those views and it was large as well but of course its not the same as seeing the ocean. All in all Kasumai is a good option if you want confort, good food, nice beach and good location but you are not a typical "resort" kind of tourist and are not afraid to move around a bit, take a taxi etc. "
