Terri, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even got us local pricing for the water taxi and helped us get our luggage to the water taxi at the end of our stay. According to the NIH, Rotting Sargassum seaweed releases toxic gases, primarily hydrogen sulfide (\(H_{2}S\)) and ammonia (\(NH_{3}\)), which cause respiratory, skin, and neurological issues. Additionally, the seaweed accumulates heavy metals like arsenic and cadmium, making it unsafe for consumption or use as food/fertilizer. It smells so awful as to induce gagging.
