The Sea Shack--Perfect For Mardi Gras, Rodeo, Blocks Away From Boat Ramp And Bay

Welcome to the "Sea Shack"! This beautifully decorated, one-of-a-kind bungalow is perfect for anyone looking to relax, visit Houston and/or Galveston, fish, go to Mardi Gras and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and more. Enjoy your stay with high end amenities including a propane grill, firepit, deck, two flatscreen TVs, and WiFi.

The Sea Shack is ideally located with easy access to Galveston (a short 20 minute drive gets you to the island), Kemah (where you can find live music, drinks, and merriment most every night), and downtown Houston.
San Leon itself is also a gem--visit local eateries such as Gilhooleys (the best oyster bar in the area!) and Pier 6 Seafood.
After you finish your busy day having fun, you'll enjoy the Sea Shack's serene and quiet surroundings. Wake up to the sunrise lighting the pasture with horses grazing in the distance outside your bedroom window. Sit on the deck and sip a cup of coffee as you warm up next to the firepit.

Enjoy cooking at home instead of going out? Granite countertops and high end range await your use.


A pet is welcome at the Sea Shack as long as it weighs less than 50 lbs AND a pet deposit is paid. If a pet deposit is not paid, and/or your pet weighs more than 50 lbs, and/or you have more than one animal you will be charged an additional $150 fee per animal and could face immediate eviction. All pets must be leashed when outside the home. Please message us with any questions about animals!

Stacey is the host of this property and she was wonderful. She was very responsive and welcoming. Plenty of green place for our dog. Tranquil country scenery. There is a horse across the fence who greeted us when we had carrots. Very nice place and quiet. We would definately stay again.

It was a nice little spot that I enjoyed, though the bed was a bit uncomfortable to the point that my girlfriend had to layer blankets to lay on so she could sleep comfortably. We also had an issue with the oven smoking a lot even before anything was put inside of it, along with the fan seemingly doing nothing. Besides that it was great

We stayed in this cute little casita almost a month and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It felt very homey & comfortable.Our host was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay.Loved the location in the country but not far from conveniences. Adorable

The bungalow provided us with everything we were looking for. Better than a hotel stay. There were drinks, coffee, & snacks provided which were sufficient until we were able to get to the grocery store. Quiet neighborhood. The AC worked very quickly to get to cooler temperatures during a hot weather weekend. Host was very helpful & responsive.

Cute Bungalow.

Very close to the things we were there for. Super cutely decorated. Very quaint. We really enjoyed watching movies, sorting on the porch. We had some highway traffic noise, buy mostly it was toleranle and quiet. We would've enjoyed being outside more if the grass had been cut, but no cimplaints otherwise. Would definitely stay again.

Meet the baby

I have stayed here before. It has been my favorite and will continue to be. It snowed while I was there. Stacy was very accommodating. I had to stay 2 extra days. It was not a problem and I was welcomed. This VRBO is the best in the area. Only concern is stay away from neighbors garden. He is very accusatory about how close you get to it. Other than that I love this VRBO. I recommend it to anyone.

Quiet anc Cozy!

My stay was unique in that it was not for pleasure but rather for school. I stayed 4 months and was extremely impressed. This is a very comfortable little house and would be perfect for a couple's getaway. I found plenty to do in the area during my off time. Lots of fishing and great restaurants including the very popular Gilhooleys. It's very nice and quiet and I would probably say my favorite part is the porch with the fire pit. I would highly recommend this little get-away.

We really enjoyed our time here. It was nice and cozy and perfect for the two of us. I really loved all the little things that made it feel like a home . . . coffee service, snack bowl, beverages in the fridge. Would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Sea Shack

Super cozy and quiet. Everything worked as it should. Great A/C considering summer heat. Would’ve liked a lil more signage (reflectors?), towards prop as iphone maps shows neighbors driveway a bit hard at night. Nice pier nearby and small town, overall GREAT !

Secret Getaway

For a discreet getaway, this was an ideal location. A little off the beaten path but not lacking amenities or views. The property was nicely maintained and the host was phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed the coziness of the space and seclusion of the location. I even got in some unexpected bird watching and got in some equine talk with my host (horses on the adjacent property). Cleanliness wasn't an issue, grocery stores are near enough, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. I have no notes.

A Great Deal

Stacy was friendly and very helpful, she would respond almost immediately to text messages. Neighborhood was safe and very friendly. Location was ideal. Nasa Space Center, Kemah Boardwalk, and Galveston, nicknamed the Island, were all within easy driving distances. Great restaurants within miles, especially Tapwater, known for fresh seafood. Live jazz music at Katie's Bar at Bayclif, three miles away, plus Barge 295 in Seabrook, both had top-notch musicians playing for tips. We loved the area and discovered plenty of wonderful places and people. We were invited to a neighbor crayfish boil. The cozy Seashack was well thought out, with a full kitchen complete with a number of fun gadgets, including a tiny stovetop espresso machine which we loved, great cupboard and closet spaces, and a neat outside covered porch ideal for drinking morning coffee, and horse, bird, or rabbit watching. We are planning to come back next year, hoping to spend several weeks there.

Had a lovely stay at the Sea Shack. Stacy is easy to contact and responds time. She is committed to ensuring I had an enjoyable stay. It is a little over a mile to the Bayshore Park to enjoy the water and sunsets. Thank you Stacy for the snacks and having a yoga mat!
