"We loved our stay at Back of the Moon!! It is a charming cottage that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great location close to restaurants and shopping in the quaint town of Placerville. Kim is a fantastic host and great communicator. "The home is situated in a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood with trees and flowering bushes about. Upon entering the home, one was struck by its simple elegance. We've stayed at many rented homes and this one by far had the best kitchen ware, which made cooking for our family a dream! The beds were comfortable and bathrooms (with full baths) were gorgeous! Thank you, it was a lovely stay!"

"I spent the weekend here solo and loved how big the space is a nicely decorated. The home is close to the supermarket and only an hour to Tahoe Peak. There are also many trails within 10-15mins. It was very quiet and I especially love it feels like a home. This place gives you enough firewood for your stay, has nice bathrooms and a hot tub. It also has a laundry which is nice so you get home with a clean bathroom. The host is very responsive as well. Will definitely come back!"

"We had a great time in this wonderful home. We were a group of two families, each with two adults and two kids. The house was spacious, comfortable, and had a well-stocked kitchen. The kids had a great time exploring the house, game room, and loved the bunk beds.The location is very convenient. There is a cute lake a 5 min walk way and a Safeway and some restaurants about a 5 min drive away. We were there to ski so it was very convenient that it was only 45 mins from Sierra at Tahoe."
