"Hotel Restaurant Sausa provides excellent value for money spent. The room was very clean with a refrigerator and a large bathroom with wall-in shower. It is not fancy, but it met our needs. There is a nice big pool and an on site restaurant, but we did not utilize either. This is a convenient base for day trips to Girona, Figueres, Besalu, and the Mediterranean coastal towns."

"We were a group of eight couples, all over 50, coming from the United States. Our stay for nine nights was tremendous. We had high expectations, and our expectations were either met or exceeded. It's rare to find a house and property in this area offering so many amenities -- including eight ensuite bedrooms (all with king beds) plus an additional(!) five bathrooms. We used the pool and padel tennis court everyday (and some nights, too). Marc Rosset was a terrific host, always checking in on us...

"Wir waren mit der gesamten Familie (7 Personen zwischen 26-68 Jahre) dort und hatten dort ein schönes altes Domizil mit reichlich Platz und vielen Plätzen zum Zurückziehen. Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend, der Gastgeber angenehm zurückhaltend und das (alte) Haus ist sehr sauber. Great base to explore the region: coastal villages and beaches, Girona, Figueres with its Dali museum, Besalu, Banyoles,... all within 45 minutes by car. For peace and quiet in the typical Catalan surroundings you don't even have to leave the property: the swimming pool on the forested terrain is an absolute plus. Helen and Joan very available without any intrusion at all, even though they have their own house about 100m away. Ideal for a family...
