The Ladder of Kotor is a historic hiking trail in Kotor, Montenegro. It climbs up the mountains behind Kotor for stunning views over the UNESCO site, the Bay of Kotor. It's a strenuous hike, with over 70 switchbacks, but it's worth it for the view. On the hike back down, the trail joins up with the old fortress, so you can walk on the old castle walls. #TakeAHike

"Staying in the Antika Guesthouse within the ancient walled city was amazing. You feel like you are part of the local community, in the middle of everything. Daria at check in was extremely helpful, recommending places to eat, things to do and the best coffee in the Balkans. The room was large and spotless, with everything you could need. A huge, very comfortable bed, fridge, bathroom, TV, kettle, tea/coffee. I had a wonderful time and was genuinely sad to leave. "
