"The was a very comfortable and cozy hotel. I had a great time here. I found it impeccably clean, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. It's walking distance from the downtown shopping area, but still pretty quiet. There is a lovely lounge and bar area that is very comfortable and welcoming. The shower worked very well too. I would love to stay here again!"

"Pros: Friendly staff. Fantastic English breakfast. Great location, walking distance from the ferry terminal and all stores near the Stronmess waterfront. Even without an elevator, the parking location made it easy to access the room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Showers had nice high water pressure that gave a massage feeling. "1 The Noust is a perfect haven for a quiet retreat and to explore mainland Orkney. The cottage is extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen. The storage heaters made the cottage just comfortable, without being 'too hot.' There are some lovely walks around the village and a local shop for any groceries required. The host provides excellent communication regarding booking, key access, the cottage itself and answered any queries within mins. For us, this cottage was a special find and we hope...
