"Does what we needed it to, not being local to stanstead and having an early morning flight, we decided to stay the night before and try and get some rest. Which we managed to do, it’s a short shuttle bus to the terminal which is £4 per person each way, car park seems secure and the price wasn’t too bad either. Will definitely use again"

"The hotel seemed further from Stansted airport than Expedia quoted. The exterior of the property had potential, but wasn't well maintained and there was debris piled up in various locations as I drove around the building. The hotel itself is outdated and could do with some renovation work. The shower stepup in our room was poorly positioned and made for an awkward shower."

"Not sure how its a 4-star. Anyway, the restaurant was really good, great food (but a bit heavy on cheese and light on mushrooms in the risotto) and wine. Special recognition for Tilly, who was very attentive. The fire alarm went off 12 times in the night, really? The room, No. 17, was way too hot, maybe that's what triggered the alarm? The heated towel rail was on full and I couldn't see how to turn it off. The bathroom extractor fan ran on for ages."

"Charming historic country pub draped in wisteria at this time of year. Our room was in a modern courtyard which blended very well with the original building. Room clean and well planned. Excellent breakfast - nice thick bacon and delicious sausages. "

"Clean room, staff were polite and friendly, only stayed one night and left for an early flight. Ideal location 10 mins from Stanstead. "

"The hotel is tired and needs to be refurbished feel sorry for the staff as a lot of people complaining the staff were fantastic"

"The breakfast was very nice but what let this place down was. the following. The continental breakfast wasn't included! Room was very clean. The bathroom was up two steps, which felt weird and the shower area had black mould on a couple of tiles. The floor was extremely uneven, it made us feel like we were on a ship that was listing! The bed was so hard, it felt like we were sleeping on a board. There was a hole in the floorboards covered up with carpet."
