"The place was great! The hosts were very nice and responsive to our messages. The location is beautiful, and the hot tub is wonderful!The little touches were very nice! The waffles, bacon, and fresh fruit provided for breakfast were delicious. Also a short drive over to Hobbiton, which made it an excellent spot if you’re also heading that way. "

"We ended up leaving. It stunk there was moldy food in top of oven. No smoke alarms. We were actually disgusted. Windows were dirty. We didnt want to make a scene so said we had to leave for family matters. Would not recommend this place infact no smoke alarms is a major health and safety breech. Never be back."

"Dirty and gross. We paid to upgrade to a more updated room with view of geysers and it was better than original room but the bathroom was completely disgusting. I cannot imagine when it was last serviced but it was appalling. Staff were nice but otherwise SKIP this motel. We could not leave fast enough. "

"The property seemed old and tired, especially the kids games room and the non-thermal hot pools, which we did not use. The 20 second delay for the boom gate to open was quite annoying and the access out on to the main road, when turning right, was also a bit dodgy. "

"Hotel is close to town and pleasant. We had to rebook a room after staying 2 nights due to weather disrupting our travel home. Our initial booking was through another site and we were a bit disappointed in our king suite we had booked. It was ground floor, noisy and the room had a strange chemical smell. It was not your typical sulfur smell. The only good thing was the super comfy bed. When we booked an extra night through Expedia, we were able to choose a king suite on a higher floor which was...

"Manky hotel needing a serious upgrade! Got ‘upgraded’ to a room that overlooked a pile of weeds instead of the race course. Shower was mouldy & the bath out on the veranda is very odd. Never trust the photos online. "

"Staff was helpful and cleaned room consistently and well. Outside pool was nice but hot tub just an outside bathtub."

"Staff were friendly. Bar choice was good. Breakfast was stale and fruit was still frozen. Bathroom tap kept falling off but nobody came to fix it. Carpets needed a good clean. The hotel really needs an overhaul and some TLC. Very disappointing. "
